Twenty months on and am still waiting for a to name one tangible, measurable benefit of leaving the EU, or one EU rule or law, forced upon the UK against its will, that made their life worse than it otherwise would have been.

Good grief. I simply call for a proper policy debate within on and this is what I get. Some people really need to get a sense of perspective.

I don't believe in free degrees, but I do believe in quotas. You can cap numbers AND impose social quotas on all unis so bright working class kids get to university and less bright middle-class kids have to do something else. This is the best route to "parity of esteem" 👍

PM intermittently mentions non Brexit issues (workers on boards, JAMs, inequality, social care costs), then nothing happens. It’s not just we are damaging economy by bad Brexit, we are the only major EU country unable to reform and improve domestically.

Net cost to me of EU membership is less than a tank of petrol a year. For that I get to be part of a great project that allows me & my children to travel, study & work anywhere in the region & provides thousands of well paid jobs. Pretty good value.

I cannot overstate though how much this does my head in. 604 days since the referendum. And the UK govt is still spinning on the stuff that was crystal-clear even before the referendum.

Sad that is being trolled off Twitter once again. The tenor of social media debate has to change - and fast - to prevent women being silenced.

Brexiters attacking the Good Friday Agreement are now an unfortunate trend. And as this thread points out, Hannan has got many basic details of Northern Irish political history wrong.
