    Today, four D-Day veterans received the Legion d’Honneur, France’s highest honour, for their breathtaking bravery aboard D-Day vessel, HMS Belfast.   We are continuously grateful to our Normandy veterans for their unimaginable sacrifices 75 years ago.

    Patrick Reardon served on HMS Sheffield and landed on Omaha beach on D-Day. He was part of a Forward Observation Bombardment team sending vital information from on shore back to the ships bombarding the coast.
