This is how it feels when in addition to your childhood dream being fulfilled by arriving to , you’re greeted by your Astro-brothers and sisters on the other side of the hatch.
Quite a ride home from today - my profound gratitude to all those that shaped #TheJourney. Thank you! We’ve returned to a different planet, but it remains a spectacular one.
From up here, it is easy to see that we are truly all in this together. #EarthStrong
Morning views on . Although we're only ~250 miles closer to the Moon than you are, we can see it more clearly since it's not obscured by the Earth’s atmosphere. We at are celebrating the #Apollo50th anniversaries & looking forward to our return there! #Artemis
Is it day or is it night? #NoFilter here, while taking photos of the night sky a few weeks ago, the Moon was so bright it lit up the Earth below. Goodnight Earth, let there be light! #GoodnightFromSpace #EarthStrong
We’re growing Mizuna lettuce on ! We’ll need to be more sustainable and grow our own food for future, longer duration missions on #Artemis and Mars. So excited for harvest...I eat salad every day on Earth, but it's been 29 days without one! Happy #NationalFoodDay!
Spacewalk selfie, visor down. Because our magnificent planet Earth is far prettier than me. Tune in tomorrow (NASA TV) as we finish off the job to upgrade the battery channel.
Here’s what today’s annular solar #eclipse (when the Moon is in line in between Earth and the Sun) looked like from . We saw the shadow of the #Moon on the #Earth below, just above the horizon (central gray area above horizon). #SolarEclipse2019 #SolarEclipse
Quite an unreal feeling to gaze up at the actual #Soyuz engines that will ferry us to space. Photo1: 1st stage engines, 2: 3rd stage (once these engines cut off we’ll be in space headed to ) T-4 days to launch!
Everyone knows & I went for a spacewalk on Friday. But do you know why? With the support of teams, we replaced the BCDU to bring power back to full capacity. We hope Friday’s adventure invigorates the power of all who dare to dream!
Gearing up for Friday’s spacewalk to help the ground teams repair one of the battery channels with .
. . . first spacesuit selfie, check!✔️
Photos will be much more spectacular once we pass through the hatch. Be sure to watch live: nasa.gov/live
Isolation Tip #2 from : Stick to a routine, including keeping up with your daily hygiene. Studies show that suiting up can increase your mood, confidence and productivity. Here’s how we do it on .
I love when the sunlight hits the solar arrays with this golden shimmer – even better against the multihued backdrop of sunset.
This incredible photo by as my #Soyuz headed to in September sums up 2019 – my most extraordinary year yet. #TheJourney was certainly not only my own, I remain in debt to countless individuals on the ground. #HappyNewYear to all on (& off) #Earth!

20 years ago #FrankCulbertson took this photo (left) from - witnessing the tragedy of 9/11 from 250 miles up. In February of 2020, I witnessed the spirit of #NYC shining ever brightly from the same spot (right). #neverforget911
Isolation Tip #3 & my last from : Maintaining a healthy diet is important because it acts as your body’s fuel. See how we prepare our food in space. . . Zero gravity makes eating a lot more fun, but I can’t wait to enjoy my first salad on Earth soon!
My high school yearbook read: “Future plans: To go for a spacewalk”. Here’s proof that dreams can reach right into reality.

Without the actions and sacrifices of those that came before us, humankind would never have set eyes on our Earth from above. The fallen heroes of Apollo 1, Challenger, and Columbia are present in all that we do. #NASARemembers #NASADayofRemembrance
This 17,500 mph fastball found its way to the cupola. We hope all are enjoying watching the #WorldSeries action back on Earth!

On #MLKDay 1 year ago, & I completed our 3rd spacewalk together . We took a moment to commemorate Martin Luther King, Jr. and his astute words, “We may have all come on different ships, but we’re in the same boat now”. Sage advice, then, and now.
After cherishing such extraordinary views from the for the past 7 months, my need to protect our home planet burns even stronger. As humans we must strive to be as good to Mother Earth as she has been to us. #EarthDay
Hey #AstroKayla , I (literally) have your back! Filling in for some emergency training today. Here I simulate how I might brace Kayla to prevent her from floating away while she dispenses a fire extinguisher. Every action has an equal and opposite reaction!
