    Hiba Swailam came back to Gaza (24.1) before two of her babies died (29.1 and 12.2). Babies do die alone as wrote in the article. : children DO go to treatment without their parents due to Israeli policy.

    Today's specialist clinic in Qalqilya saw long queues. 60,000 residents have 2 small hospitals: one operated by UNRWA, with reduced services after US cuts, the other by the PA. With insufficient beds & a shortage of specialist doctors, patients are referred to Ramallah & Nablus.

    PHRI is glad that the logical and humane proposal to allow Palestinian prisoners to contact their families by public telephone was adopted by the authorities. We await its' implementation. PHRI’s op-ed, in Hebrew, on the topic last month during the crisis.

    Today, the Mobile Clinic visited Nazlat Zeid village, southwest of Jenin. Palestinian residents of the surrounding area came for tests and medications from PHRI's doctors. The village is harmed by the separation fence and residents also blame factories nearby for polluting.

    Our efforts payed off. At the last minute, 13 doctors from received permission to leave the Strip for a 4-day course in cardiology at Tel Hashomer hospital in . The course is done in cooperation with the Cardiology Department and the Sheba National Simulation Center.

    A two year old boy from died last night after his mother was denied a permit by the Israeli authorities to accompany him for medical treatment in East Jerusalem since October 2018. His grandmother, who previously accompanied him, fell ill and couldn't join him.
