TEDSummit is a new five-day event for the most engaged members of the global TED community. The gathering will feature a variety of community-led brainstorms, interactive discussions, performances, hands-on workshops, outdoor activities and of course an eclectic TED program of mainstage talks.
TEDSummit 2016 will convene 1,000 people from all over the world — a cross-section of those who’ve helped mold TED into what it is today — for a week of firsts and surprises. Passionate TEDsters will be joined by, new and returning speakers, authors, TED Fellows, TEDx organizers, volunteer translators, TED senior staff, educators and animators, and partners. Together, we will explore the ideas that matter right now and for the future. We’ll identify important questions facing the world and glean insights from the diverse, multi-disciplinary group. It will be a week of inspiration, of future-looking discussions, of aiming higher, together – all during the longest days of the Summer in the beautiful surroundings of the Canadian Rockies.
One hundred and eleven past and new TED speakers will join us at TEDSummit. Some of the most popular TED speakers of all time, including Dan Pink, David Gallo, Esther Perel, Kelly and Jane McGonigal, Pico Iyer and dozens more will be joined by brand-new voices including food innovator Josh Tetrick, forest biologists Suzanne Simard, environmental writer Emma Marris, energy experts Joe Lassiter and Michael Shellenberger, blockchain researcher Bettina Warburg, global affairs writer Jonathan Tepperman, empathy scientist Abigail Marsh, and more.
Some of these speakers will take the stage to give major TED Talks on topics ranging from advanced digital technologies to climate change to surveillance and transparency ... from relationships to brain microscopy ... from trust to what humans might look like in 200 years.
