The Microbiome Treatment Centre (MTC) is the first MHRA licensed facility within the UK to provide Faecal Microbiota Transplants (FMT) for clinical trials and for the treatment of patients throughout the UK with recurrent and refractory Clostridium difficile infection.

There is now a defined accreditation process that includes a lab meeting Good Manufacturing Practice standards. The full version FMT guidelines published in JHI refers to this in greater detail (page S24).
