Dozens of Israelis of Kurdish origin gathered outside the United States Consulate-General in Jerusalem dancing, waving flags, and holding signs in support of Kurdish independence.

Tomorrow, Monday, September 25, marks a historic landmark in the modern history of the Kurds in Iraq. A referendum is planned to be held in the Kurdish autonomous region in Northern Iraq in order to determine whether the Iraqi Kurds will declare their independence in the regions of the Kurdish autonomy.
