In Jan this year a psych panel declared Malka Leifer unfit to stand in court. In Feb, only a few days later, Leifer was arrested on fraud charges.
Between April and November there were 18 court dates regarding jail, bail, almost home detention, and new psych assessments.
Now as the momentous year draws to a close we head off to Israel to face our former school principal in a court room for the first time.

Day 2 in Israel! A #bringleiferback campaign update; Started the morning with a 7am gym workout, powering up for a massive day ahead! Walked with the ABC News crew through security at the Knesset for our first meeting with MK Yehudah Glick. It was a chaotic day at the Knesset with almost every parliamentary member in house. MK Glick navigated us through the teeming corridors to 'accidentally bump' into various MK's. Tzipi Hotovely - ציפי חוטובלי, MK Ayelet Shaked, MK Shuli Moalem, MK Naftoli Bennet and MK Yael German. We felt very supported until we met Health Minister Yaakov Litzman. "I already heard the other side of the story, I want nothing to do with this, I WILL NOT SUPPORT YOU OR EXTRADITION, but I will also not interfere", and we're told we should be grateful for that. MK Aliza Lavie, MK Michal Biran and MK Merav Mechaeli and Meital Boncheck all hope to make it to court on the 27th in support of the #bringleiferback campaign. Huge thanks to Ayelet Razin from the Rape crisis centre for helping us set up many of these meetings and spending the afternoon accompanying us. And finally we ended the day with a 6.45pm meeting with the impressive Isaac Herzog , chairman of the Jewish Agency.
