  • Improved exclusion list processing by user address mechanism.
  • Fixed errors in KSN performance when connecting via a proxy server.
  • Fixed a number of other glitches.

Version update

Only previous version 8.1.560.0 (Maintenance pack 1) can be upgraded. Upgrading from an older version requires its complete removal before installing the new one.

Previous version 8.1.560.0 (Maintenance pack 1) installed on servers in a DAG cannot be upgraded. Upgrading requires complete removal of the older version before installing the new one.

Restrictions

  • When upgrading Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 SP1 to SP2 on a server with Kaspersky Security 8.0 for Microsoft Exchange Servers installed, you should use the Repair function once upgrade completes.
  • In case a reboot is required after installing .Net Framework 3.5 SP1, you should restart the computer before starting to use Kaspersky Security 8.0 for Microsoft Exchange Servers administration console. Otherwise you may experience incorrect Administration console performance.
  • Sender of a malicious, password-protected, or corrupt object detected in Public folders or in a protected user's mailbox does not receive a notification, if the sender's address does not belong to the corporate network.
  • User's replacing the standard text added to the Subject field by the Anti-spam scanning with any other text in national encoding may cripple the message header text.

Known errors

  • KSN and Enforced Anti-Spam Updates Service sometimes fail to pass the Basic authorization procedure when using a proxy server with NTLM disabled.
  • Rolling back the installation (due to an error, e.g.) does not delete the SQL database created in the process.
  • Using the Repair function disables antivirus protection for the Mailbox role. It is necessary to enable it manually.
  • An incorrect SMTP address may be set sometimes when adding Active Directory addressees into the exclusion list.
