Kaspersky Internet Security 2017

• Restore files to their original locations
• Delete files from Quarantine
• Open original folders where quarantined files were located.

To restore or delete files moved to Quarantine:

1. Open Kaspersky Internet Security 2017.
2. In the lower left part of the main application window, click More tools.

3. In the Tools window, click Quarantine.

4. In the Quarantine view, right-click the file you need and select an action on the shortcut menu. To clear the list, click the Delete all files button.

The files moved to Quarantine are stored in proprietary binary formats in the following folders: 

• For Windows XP:
  %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Application Data\Kaspersky Lab\AVP17.0.0\QB.

• For Windows Vista/7/8/8.1/10 OS:
  %PROGRAMDATA%\Kaspersky Lab\AVP17.0.0\QB

To open the folder:

1. Enable the Show hidden files and folders function.
2. Open Windows Explorer by using the keyboard shortcut Win+E.

3. Paste the path of the folder into the Address bar of Windows Explorer.
4. Press Enter.

By default, all files that cannot be disinfected are deleted. Enable interactive protection if you would like to change the application response to detection of a malicious program. To do it:

1. Open Settings in Kaspersky Internet Security 2017 by clicking the gear icon in the lower-left corner of the main window.

2. In the Settings view, go to the General tab and clear the check box Perform recommended actions automatically.

To rid yourself of the necessity of choosing an action every time a threat is detected, specify a standard action for each protection component:

1. Open Settings in Kaspersky Internet Security 2017 by clicking the gear icon in the lower-left corner of the main window.

2. In the Settings view, go to the Scan tab. 
3. Open the drop-down list Action on threat detection and select Disinfect. To continue adjusting the settings, click the Back button in the upper part of the window.

4. In the Settings view, go to Protection and select a component to modify. 
5. Set up the following actions on threat detection: 
   • File Anti-Virus and Mail Anti-Virus: in the section Action on threat detection, select Block or Disinfect.
   • Web Anti-Virus: in the section Action on threat detection, select Block.
   • System Watcher: in the section Application Privilege Control, select Terminate the malware.
