Users who have already purchased an activation code for Kaspersky Anti-Virus, Kaspersky Internet Security or Kaspersky Total Security can purchase a new activation code (a renewal code) at a discount. Therefore, when you activate a Kaspersky lab product with a renewal code, the application checks whether an activation code for that product has been applied on that computer in the past:
If the code you entered corresponds to your Kaspersky Lab product, the license will be renewed for the full period.
You will encounter an error if the code you entered is:
Should this be the case, elect the I agree to decrease the license term by... checkbox and click Register and continue.
The application will be activated with a reduced license term.
If you purchased the product in the online store, then the activation code will have been sent to your email address. If you purchased a boxed version of the product, then the activation code will be in the Quick Start Guide. If you linked the application to your My Kaspersky account, the activation code will have been saved in the Licenses section of the My Kaspersky website.
If you have the previous activation code for your product but are unable to activate it for the full term, send a request to Kaspersky Lab technical support via My Kaspersky. Please include a detailed description of the issue, either the previous activation code or your license key, and the new activation code.
