Kaspersky Internet Security 2015

To change the network status, do the following:

1. Open Kaspersky Internet Security 2015.
2. In the lower-left corner of the main application window, click Settings.

3. In the Settings view, go to the Protection Center section and select Firewall in the right frame.

4. In the Firewall settings view, click the Networks link.

5. In the Manage networks window, right-click the connection for which you would like to change the status, and select the status from the context menu:
   • Public network, if you would like to block access to your files, folders, and printers, as well as remote access to your desktop. This status is recommended for networks not protected by any anti-virus applications, firewalls or filters (for example, for an Internet cafе network). Filtering of network activity for each application is performed according to the rules for this application. By default, the Public status is assigned to Internet and cannot be changed.
   • Local network status is useful if you wish to grant to the network users the access to files and printers on your computer (for example, for your internal corporate network or home network). Filtering of network activity for each application is performed according to the rules for this application.
   • Trusted network. This status is only recommended for areas that you consider absolutely safe within which your computer will not be subjected to attacks or unauthorized attempts to gain access to your data. If this status is selected, all network activity will be allowed within this network.
6. In the Application rules window, click Edit.

7. Close the main application window.

To block the access to the Internet for a certain application, create a rule for that application in the Firewall settings. To create a rule, perform the following actions:

1. Open Kaspersky Internet Security 2015.
2. In the lower left corner of the main application window, click Settings.

3. In the Settings view, go to the Protection Center section and select Firewall in the right frame.

4. In the Firewall settings view, click the Configure application rules link.

5. In the Application network rules window, right-click the application for which you would like to block the access to the Internet, and select Details and rules from the context menu.

6. In the Application rules window, go to the Network rules tab and click Add.

7. In the Network rule window, select Block in the Action section.
8. In the Name section, enter Web browsing.
9. If you want to record the actions of this rule to the report, select the Log events check box.
10. Click Save.

11. The created rule will appear in the Network rules tab with the Deny action status.
12. In the Application rules window, click Save.

13. Close the Application management window.
14. Close the main application window.
