Maintenance Pack 2 for Kaspersky Security 8.0 for Microsoft Exchange Servers (MP2) was released on August 19, 2013. Full version number: 8.3.325.0.

Kaspersky Security 8.0 for Microsoft Exchange Servers MP2 protects mailboxes, public folders, and relayed mail traffic on Microsoft Exchange servers against malware, spam, and phishing.

With Kaspersky Security 8.0 for Microsoft Exchange Servers MP2 you can:

  1. Scan incoming and outgoing mail as well as messages stored on a Microsoft Exchange server (including in public folders) for malicious objects.
  2. Filter unsolicited mail (spam) from mail traffic.
  3. Use a cloud-based reputation service called Reputation Filtering for additional anti-spam scanning of messages. It moves messages to a special temporary storage called Quarantine and assigns them a status label after rescanning them.
  4. Scan mail traffic for phishing messages.
  5. Save backup copies of detected objects and spam messages before disinfection or removal in order to prevent loss of data, and manage a shared backup storage in a centralized manner.
  6. Notify the sender, the recipient and the system administrator about messages that contain malicious objects.
  7. Maintain event logs, collect statistics and create regular reports on the application activity. The application can create reports automatically according to a schedule, or by request.
  8. Configure the message scan settings according to the corporate security policy, in particular by compiling black and white lists of senders and recipients.
  9. Keep Anti-Virus and Anti-Spam databases up to date by means of automatic and manual updates.
  10. Manage antivirus protection on the storage level and create a list of protected storages.
  11. Manage identical settings for a group of Microsoft Exchange servers in a centralized manner, by means of profiles.
  12. Manage server licenses and manage licenses for a group of Microsoft Exchange servers in a centralized manner through profiles.
