      Growing Up With Harper Lee

      Judy Belyeu grew up in Monroeville, Alabama, across the street from the Lee family. Although almost 17 years older, and still years away from writing her Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, Harper Lee (then known as Nell) was still an influential figure in Judy’s life. She came to StoryCorps to share her childhood memories.
