I just found a keyboard shortcut in the options to "Toggle Show Persistent" (CTRL + SPACE) You'll know it worked when you see the vertical words on the right of the ditto window show "Ditto [Always on top]"

In order to be able to copy on one computer and paste on another I have two computers in my home network set up to use ditto with the ditto database stored on a network drive which both have r/w access too. This works great most of the time. However periodically, when one computer starts up the history list of prior copies is empty. To correct, I just go into options - database path - and even thought the shared Ditto.db file is listed I have to click on the three dots '(...') beside it, and then...

Hello dear Ditto ppl. Love this piece of software and it's just so useful. Best one out there. Just 1 small request in relation to this thread. Anyone else experiencing on latest ditto v3.24.246.0 that setting False to "Allow duplicates" actually does not work and I end up indeed having duplicates despite that False ... ofc I've closed and reopen Ditto and my whole PC for that sake. Anyone?

1) in options - Keyboard Shortcuts - Copy And Save Current Clipboard. Set a key combination here you want to use. 2) Disconnect Ditto now. => 3 dots > Disconnect .... 3) use the key combination set in 1 4) the clip will be saved even Ditto is now 'disconnected' meaning normal Ctrl+C is not saved.

in settings/options under general : in field Popup position => At previous position. By this Ditto will open at last position. Next click on 3 dots on right of the seach field. Goto : Quick options. Goto View Caption Bar On on select where you want to have it... FYI. my settings. I have the windows taskbar on the RIGHT of the right instead of the default bottom. I then have my Ditto always opened on the right bottom aside the taskbar. Have the the caption bar set to the right as well. Ditto is visible...

I am using Ditto on my corporate laptop. I have the app always on top. i normally have it placed on the lower right rand of my desktop jusy above the time in the taskbar. I feel like it would be beter placed on the left side of my scree. but when I open the available clips, it opens to the left so I cant see the selections. Any way I can get it to open to the right? Hello, Ditto starts well with Windows 11 and Windows 10 but after 1 minute, Ditto closes. I have to open it manually to keep it open whatever the version. I've already uninstalled then reinstalled but with no effect. Thanks

Not to resurrect a dead post, but found this via a google search. Just had this happen to me, though the most recent change was bumping the number of stored clips to 6000, many of my clips are images, so this has an impact on the database size, and my database was 1,999,674 KB, I suspect there could be a 2GB limit to the database. I reduced to 4000 clips and then in Advanced selected to compact and repair database, now DB is 1.5GB and now it's working fine again and capturing every clip without ...

I can't delete the CTRL-ALT-C global hot key, I'm not sure if it's assigned to a clip (too many in my db), but Ditto lists it in the right click-Global Hot Keys dialog. Is there a way to unregister it? I need that for another application.

Some apps have problems pasting back into the correct location or edit control. When this happens it's best to either press ctrl-c to place the clip onto the clipboard and then make sure the app you are pasting into has the cursor at the correct location and then manually press ctrl-v, or If the paste doesn't work by pressing enter on the clip the data is still on the clipboard and can manually be pasted with ctrl-v.

I use this clipboard manager on a daily basis and sometimes the strings I use most often are overwritten, it would be great if there was a 'My list' where can store long strings that we use often that are otherwise difficult to type manually and be allowed to store up to 100 different unique strings that wont be overwritten nor will impact the total amount of overwritable strings in the default clipboard. If there is currently a feature available already for this in please share the version and instructions...
