End of Year Plans!

It’s been eons since I’ve done a planning post, and I have so many ideas rolling around in my head that I thought it was high time for another!

We have lots of fun stuff coming up as the year comes to an end, so I have quite the sewing schedule planned.  I’ll have a chance of getting a good portion of it done if I actually sew after the kids go to bed instead of falling asleep on the couch…we’ll see what I finish!  Here they are in order of priority:

1.  Christmas dress #1 for Peaches

Happy Halloween from Cheeks and Cupcake!

Heyyyy!  Long time no see, but I finally got off my duff (well, actually I remained seated, but you get the turn of phrase) and not only sewed but also wrote about my babies’ Halloween costumes!

Talk About Nesting

Wait, what?  You say.  But you already had your baby, Jess, the nesting phase is over!

You’re right.  It is.  And I did a lot of sitting on my booty plus some sewing during that phase; in fact, just got Baby Girl’s nursery more or less put together a couple of weeks ago…five months after she was born.

So…why would we talk about nesting?

Because…BABY NEST!

Come on Home, Baby

It’s gonna be a while with these baby centric posts until I’m through everything I’ve made for her (and her brother!).  But don’t worry, I slipped a couple of things in for me along the way, and you’ll get to watch her cute-ify in fast forward!

But first:  take a gander up at my new blog logo!  How freakin’ awesome is it?  I’m really lovin’ it.  My good buddy Chrystal saw the lame ass logo I had created with an online logo generator and offered to help a girl out…and boy did she.  Thank you so much Chrystal!

I’m definitely into matching family outfits the “Mama and me” idea, even with my little guy Sweet Cheeks, so I knew I would want to take Baby Girl home in the cheesiest fashion possible.

Baby Girl’s Newborn Basics

If there’s one thing that is SUPER HANDY clothing wise for newborns, besides ye olde onesie (which I have sworn off making because my time is better spent creating more unique clothing that I can’t buy for around $1 elsewhere) it’s the ubiquitous baby gown.
