Hello and happy Sunday! The weather is supposed to be perfect today, sunshine and temps in the 60s – can’t complain about that after last weekends storms! And I am still going through tons of pictures from yesterday’s SacTown VegFest that I will be posting soon. What an event – it was much bigger than […]
Vegan Curry Yum
All is going smoothly for the pups this week, Leela has claimed her ratty old bed back and Miko patiently waiting for more play time. I am so glad Friday is almost here! It’s been a week with a lot of people in our department still out with the flu and me keeping my fingers […]
Coconut Yogurt Dressing
Finally we’re getting a break from the rain! I am thankful for the rain, we needed it, but also thankful to get a few days of sunshine and the pups are thankful for more walks outside. Well, Leela wasn’t so thankful when Miko stole her favorite ratty bed by the fireplace. And Miko pouted because […]
More Soggy Weather for the List
It’s another soggy and windy weekend here and I have two very frustrated chihuahuas about not being able to go outside. Leela has been aimlessly wondering the house and Miko very happy to cuddle and play indoors. We did get a break from the rain last weekend and I got in as many outdoor runs as […]
Fiery Peanut Dressing
The rain is back and so are some frustrated and bored chihuahuas. We got winds so strong last night, 60 MPH gusts, that poor hubby had to prop up another section of the fence and the pups will have nothing to do with going outside in that! Miko is pouting now too. And constantly wants […]
Basic Potato Leek Soup
Things are a little chaotic with the pet bed situation in front of the fireplace. We gifted the pups with new beds for Christmas, but Leela still loves her old mushroom shaped bed even though she dug off most of the soft layer and it’s looking a little ratty. I tried to relocate it to another […]
Getting Inspired for the Weekend List
Happy Sunday, I am thankful to have a 3 day weekend because I have been dealing with a nasty cold and/or bug that has been ripping through work and making a lot people miserable for weeks in some cases. I even had to take a sick day this week with a slight fever and extremely […]
Creamy Dijon Quinoa with Kale
Yesterday we got a slight break in the rain and this gorgeous view. Today the all day rain was back and Miko back to refusing to go outside when when he could be toasting his belly instead. I got into dry toasting quinoa before cooking it. Previously I was fearful to get too aggressive with […]
Creamy Garlic Dressing
It has been raining non-stop for the last few days and is down-pouring outside now. I know this is a good thing, California always needs the rain. But I feel for those affected by flooding and getting a little tired of dogs refusing to outside in this weather. The winds are so strong, Miko still […]
Hunker Down for the Weekend List
Thank you for the kind words about Smokey, it’s still a sad adjustment. And yesterday morning I had to go back to the vet for the chihuahua’s annual checkup and shots appointment I scheduled awhile back and forgot about. Not fun being back there so soon after and the pups were really not happy to go, […]
