The Dhara Dhevi is one of the most incredible hotels we have seen around the world within a beautiful and surreal landscape setting in Chiang Mai Thailand. The moment you see the grand entrance you know instantly you are somewhere different and your special journey is just about to start. A buggy picks you up from the main gate and takes along a journey of picturesque buildings that are hand crafted and beautifully decorated. Heading up to the main entrance, seeing a magnificent main building structure that gains your attention leaving you to ponder whats inside! The reception area is open and friendly with the reception staff greeting you with a typical thai smile and leading you to a seated area to take your details and introduce your personal butler for the duration. You are then whisked away within 5 mins to your room and given a guided tour of all the services on offer. The deluxe villa we stayed in was like an ancient wooden lana house, beautifully decorated with 2 levels, ground floor being the living room suite and upstairs being the master bedroom, with over 300m (both levels) with 3 showers, a jacuzzi and an incredibly large bed what else to ask for. The hotel has 5 restaurants and we ate in 4, unfortunately, we didn't try the italian, however, we had tea and cakes in the cake shop and the macaroons which were simply delicious. Overall the eating experience was well worth it, each restaurant with their own personality and friendliness to go with an incredible customer service. Our highlight was the breakfast, an amazing array of foods from around the world with fresh products locally leaving you full of energy for the days activities. The Dheva Spa was probably the best experience we had in our lives, all down to a wow factor of having so much beautifully decorated space with 11 suites for 1 or two people (partners) and a massive menu of professional spa treatments including Ayurveda. We couldn't have been any more pleased with the Spa therapy sessions we received, which were out of this world. The Spa staff were really professional and experienced, which coming from two holistic therapists says something ;-) Recommendation Fully recommended for short stay, long stay, wedding, anniversary, any excuse to enjoy the delights of the Dhara Dhevi Chiang Mai. It certainly left an impact on us with an ever lasting memory, a big thank you to all of the staff for making our stay simply magical.
