The Science Of Posting On Social Media - Infographic
More and more companies are utilizing social media for their marketing purposes. Posting regularly can help you to reach a wide variety of audiences, keep loyal customers up to date, and help boost your company profile. However, each social platform utilizes different algorithms; if you post too much or not enough, followers may not see your content.
Follow these guidelines from SetupABlogToday to the get most of every post.
#Facebook
While millions use the site daily, no one enjoys seeing tons of statuses from one person or company. Limit updates to two posts per day, but make sure you post at least weekly.
Facebook has the highest average click through from 1:00 - 4:00pm, with 3:00pm on Wednesdays being the optimal time. Avoid posting anything on weekends before 8:00am or after 8:00pm.
#Twitter
To get the most engagement out of Tweets, limit postings to three times per day. However, as Twitter utilizes a fast-paced mentality, it may be necessary to retweet the same content several times over different days.
Like Facebook, the best time to use Twitter is mid-afternoon. Post Monday through Thursday from 9:00am - 3:00pm, focusing on 1:00 - 3:00pm for optimal results. Avoid marketing on Twitter after 8:00pm and after 3:00pm on Fridays.
#GooglePlus
Maintain a consistent posting schedule on Google+ to ensure connection with most of your audience. Three posts a day should suffice.
The beginning of the average work day is the ideal time to post on Google+. Try posting Monday through Thursday from 9:00 - 10:00am. Focus on Wednesdays at 9:00am, as that is the peak time for engagement. Avoid posting in very early mornings or in the evenings.
#Pinterest
Businesses have recently starting using this site to promote their brands. Three to ten pins daily correlates with the highest web traffic. Try to pin at least five times a day.
Utilize Pinterest outside of normal working hours. Post Saturday mornings and Fridays from 1:00-4:00pm for the best results.
