Aurora and Fireball over Norway

The Backstory
Ole: "While I was out in the Tromsø area with a visiting friend from Germany, we were treated with some nice auroras. And while standing there shooting we got another surprise, a huge fireball suddenly came across the sky. I was quick to press the shutter release and managed to capture it. What an awesome display! I shouted out of joy after realizing I had captured the fireball immersed with auroras :) Autumn is really dark without the moon and now snow. But it can also give nice conditions for observing the auroras. I was also happy to have some colors from the sun left in the horizon to make the image complete. The magnetgrams for Tromsø did not show any extraordinary activity, but the auroras were quite vivid at times."

Taken on August 15, 2016 just after 9 o'clock in the evening.
Location: Goðafoss Waterfall
The Waterfall of the Gods is a fine location for photographers, both Summer and Winter. You will often see me there in the Summer months. Great photographs can be made on both sides of the falls.
