i had started something in Swift on Ubuntu, and now i wanted to continue on Fedora, but the problem is that there is not Swift in Fedora, and compiling it, isn't a particular exciting process

so i Googled a bit and i found this
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1536780

what basically says, is that Ron Olson pushed some patches for Swift 4.1 (before that was released) that would make possible to create Swift RPMs

https://github.com/apple/swift/pull/14589

however when Swift 4.1 was released (that was few days ago), it didn't include any of those patches, because the 4.1 was branched out before Ron's PRs

in quick, hopefully Swift will be available in Fedora on 4.2 release, or to reprint Ron's comment

"I'm still working on the Fedora-specific patches to make it play nicely as an rpm, so I'm probably going to keep going with the master branch and hopefully by the time 4.2 is released it will be ready to go."
