Bears Den overlook at sunset
Life has been rather busy but I found a bit of time this afternoon to try the latest version of On1 Photo Raw 2018. On1 just released a update that includes some improvements to the HDR processing. For this image I started with a 5 image bracket set and once merged to an HDR I converted to B&W. I don't process a lot of B&W images but it's fun now and then and I'm happy with the way this one came out. It might still be a little on the dark side. If it looks extra dark on your monitor/screen let me know. I normally edit with my brightness at full and was recently encouraged to not edit on such a bright screen. So I'm giving it a try:)

Swirls below Elekala #2
On my quick trip to the Potomac Highlands of West Virginia and Blackwater Falls State Park, I visited Shays run early in the morning so that I could shoot the waterfalls before the sun broke over ridge (the day ended up being bright and sunny). I found this beautiful swirl in one of the pools below the falls and I spent some time shooting it from different perspectives. This is one of my favorites:)
