I struggled with transferring grades between Google Classroom and Genesis as well and eventually got so fed up with the situation I wrote an app to do it automatically. It's called "Grade Transferer" and can be found in the Chrome Extension WebStore or downloaded for free from: http://www.gradetransferer.com
It will definitely help teachers get some of their time and sanity back, now having to manually input all grades for already graded assignments.
