I was at a hotel once that had an indoor-outdoor pool, connected by a 3ft tunnel. It was February, so the outdoor portion of the bathwater-warm pool was covered in little ping-pong ball sized styrofoam balls that kept it insulated, like you said.

An amendment drafted by Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), using language that Donald Trump used to assure voters he would not cut Medicaid, Medicare or Social Security, won 49 votes Tuesday, with Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) joining every Democrat and independent to vote yes.

Sanders was clear on the purpose of the amendment, one of several messaging efforts that have become part of the 115th Congress’s slow-motion debate over repealing the Affordable Care Act.

“I start off with the premise that what Republicans are proposing is exactly what Americans don’t want,” said Sanders in a Monday interview. “Mr. Trump, throughout his campaign — not once, not twice, but many, many times — made as a cornerstone of that campaign that he was not an ordinary Republican. ‘I’m not with Paul Ryan,’ he said — he mentioned him by name! ‘I’m going to defend Medicaid!’ He said that many, many times, and we’re going to hold him accountable.”

It’s still unclear whether Senate Republicans will win enough votes to pass their reconciliation bill, which would repeal Obamacare and strip Planned Parenthood of its federal funding. But Senator Kirsten Gillibrand isn’t taking any chances. According to a press release from her office, Gillibrand plans to introduce a measure to protect women’s health care, even (and especially) if the Affordable Care Act is repealed.

Gillibrand will file an amendment to the Fiscal Year 2017 Budget Resolution that would prevent lawmakers from rolling back certain measures in the ACA that apply to women. Those measures include ensuring women aren’t charged more than men for health care because of their gender; preventing insurance companies from using pregnancy as a preexisting condition to deny women coverage; ensuring women receive things like birth control and mammograms free of cost; and requiring insurance companies to include coverage for maternity care.

I don't see anything in the CNN tweets saying they were blank papers, but I do find it odd that none of the folders have any lablelling on them at all. How could they possibly be any coherent set of files at all?

+Craig Froehle that reminds me of a comedy radio sketch I heard recently: Prospective buyer wanted to know if the car would judge the occupants of the car as equal or higher value than those waiting at a bus stop. IE, if the car would choose to avoid killing the bus stop queue and kill the car occupants. Salesmen offered upgrades to value the car occupants more highly... All these things could become possible in the future! :D
