#ETH researchers have predicted a “nodal chain metal” with energy bands touching along interconnected nodal loops, which form a chain. It could be the prototype for a new kind of material with potentially technologically interesting properties.

Researchers of #ETH Zurich and Imperial College London have developed new multi-decade simulations of wind power production in Europe. This allowed them to uncover significant distortions in data used in the past and to produce country-specifically corrected simulations.
