As my friend +Kelly Jaggers  from +Evil Shenanigans says, "It's too bad that today’s mass-produced Halloween 'treats' are loaded with high fructose corn syrup, artificial flavors, imitation chocolate, and food dyes. Sounds more like a trick to me."

So, she's come up with this homemade, #unprocessed treat!
These are definitely a treat, but one that is loaded with real, good ingredients.

There's nothing quite like the smell of fresh-baked bread in the kitchen.
Start with this Basic Whole Grain Bread recipe, then change it up with the variations included. There are so many options!

Traditional wisdom says that you should preserve tomatoes at the height of the season. But +Beth Lee from OMG! Yummy has a bowl-licking-good way to get the most out of your late-season tomatoes.
Roasted Tomato Sauce is a great way to use up a bumper crop of tomatoes when they are in-season. But it's also a great way to make out-of-season tomatoes taste great!

Beans just might be one of the tastiest, cheapest, and best ways to go unprocessed. +Stephanie Stiavetti explains.
There are few things tastier than fresh beans made on the stovetop, cooked slowly over a few hours (with very little actual work!). This recipe will work for any kind of beans: Black beans, kidney beans, Great Northern beans, navy beans, pinto beans, you name it.

If getting your family (or friends, or coworkers) to join you in eating more healthfully has been a challenge, my friend +Melissa Lanz from +The Fresh 20 has some great tips to help...and she shares this delicious, satisfying recipe -- that just so happens to be unprocessed, gluten-free, grain-free, vegetarian, and supremely healthful.
This is a nice, warm bowl of comfort food. Perfect for those chilly fall nights - and a great recipe to help your family to make some changes to their eating habits.

Have you tried cooking sous vide yet? It's not as complicated as you might think! This quick dinner from +Stephanie Stiavetti took only 15 minutes of active time. (Sponsored by +Oliso, Inc., makers of the Smart Hub and Smart Vacuum Sealer.)
Sous Vide cooking is a simple way to make an amazing, home-cooked meal...while you catch up on your favorite show.

Fries are my kryptonite. These might be the antidote. Thanks, +Jess Goldman Foung!

Forget the processed can of jiggly cranberry jelly - this savory cranberry jam from +Karen Ard will blow it away!
Savory Cranberry Jam is so easy to make - and it makes a beautiful side dish or appetizer that tastes better than any pre-packaged version. To serve as a crostini appetizer, slice a baguette in 1/3 inch pieces and toast until golden brown on both sides. Spread the toasted baguette with goat cheese (or your other favorite cheese), then top with the jam.
