After the update my reminders randomly drop off or don't come through at all. Before I used to be able to keep my reminders on the screen like a virtual "to do" list. Now they either drop off on their own or if I swipe one away they all disappear. I have missed a few work functions because of it. Fix this and I give it a five star! Beyond that its a good calendar with color options to help keep track of multiple people and their schedules. It also remembers recurring items if you put them in a few times making input faster.

Best calendar The best thing I can say is when I went from one Samsung phone to my new 8+, ALL my entries were still there when I went to re-enter it and open the calendar again. If for no other reason, THAT made me happy. One aspect I've really liked is the ease of which you can put in multiple days for events. Other calendars have been more difficult. We travel frequently and this is important. Setting the time is easy too.

This is an update from my 2013 five star review. This is the best calendar I've used, much better than Google calendar and Samsung native calendar on my current device. It's very user friendly, has lots of options for colors, reminders, recurring events, etc. It syncs perfectly between all devices. I once had a problem setting a recurring event and emailed dev. I received a quick response and answer to my issue. Of course it was user error on my part! And re the OCCASIONAL full page ad, that is SO much better than banner ads. I've used this app from the beginning and it was the best app then & continues to be so. Extra features have been added over the years that continue to make this a great app, better than any calendar app out there. That this dev supports the app and provides so many options for free, it's amazing. Thanks dev!

THE BEST... This is a really well done calendar app! I'll gladly buy the upgrade just to support the developers even though this free version has all the features I need. The ads are completely unobtrusive, almost nonexistent, totally unlike other ad-supported apps.

Update to my previous comments: I just purchased the upgrade and wow! I didn't realize that the integrated task feature was going to be so fantastic. Exactly what I needed with no monthly fee to pay. What a great feature. I'd give it 6 stars if I could. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Great app. Many different views and personalized commands. Much easier to view your appointments when your day is packed. I especially like the different scrolling possibilities. For example, scrolling down with one finger takes you to the next day, but scrolling down with two fingers will jump one week. Also customer service is very helpful; when I was having a bit of trouble with the app on my Huawei P8 Lite, within just a few minutes, I was helped to find a solution.

I would give 5 if this app could Improve a couple of things. 1. Difficult to search for info in tutorial 2. Color code is not working Either doesn't add to new activity or didn't change it. 3. My other calendar allowed me to delete 90% OF holidays that do not effect me. It is a waste of space

If notifications are disappearing, there is a bug in the system or you have some app that takes control over the notification area. aCalendar does not remove event notifications itself and no one else is reporting such a problem. Please contact us by email to [email protected] with details. E.g., what info you are looking for or what exactly is the problem with color coding. We only include official public holidays, probably you are using holidays from an external source like Google calendar? great app. one big problem though: when there are multiple reminders to show, they should be grouped into *one* notification block, instead of producing separate notification items. pls fix, thx. if u think otherwise, then at least provide an options setting to control that behavior so everybody wins. [sgs8, nougat]

This is very high on our to-do list. We're also looking into the Android O changes to notifications and will try to have a solution for these as well. After the update, I no longer can see events on my HTC10. Can see them online, but nothing on my phone. Tried all the troubleshooting tips. I created a few new events both on my phone and on the online site... and they show up after a sync, so what happened to my existing events on my phone? Loved it before...HATE it now. FIX THIS PLEASE, I'm already searching for alternatives....

An WHERE do you see your events online? Overall nice app, I was ready to buy it, but I am sometimes missing notifications. I missed a very important appointment as no notification ever came. I restarted my phone (Galaxy S6) and the missing notification came up. Not having this problem with the standard calendar.

If notifications are not triggered, there is a problem with your Android firmware or settings. Please contact us by email to [email protected] for technical support. This was a 5 star app but have had to down grade it as lately event reminders are not working. If I set one for today it works set one for tomorrow or next week it doesn't. What's gone wrong haven't changed any phone or Google calendar settings. Please sort it.

Please check you system settings for power saving and exclude all calendar related services there. Calendar event notifications are triggered by Android. This is a system issue, not a bug in aCalendar that we can fix. For further support please contact us by email to [email protected]. I like that the display looks clean. I also really appreciate how my events actually show up on the calender, rather than seeing a line that just tells me I have an event. Very much would recommend!
The only reason I'm not going to give this app 5 stars is because when I create an event and save it the alarm autosets to email and pop up notify me which spams my inbox. I have tried going into the settings to change it but it doesn't work unfortunately :( Other than that I love this app

These default alarms are added by Google Calendar upon synchronization, not by aCalnedar. Please configure in Google Calendar (Desktop Browser or App). Does not remind you when you clearly set multiple reminders. I have missed multiple events due to this bug and it's there for longer than a year. Terrible.

Please contact us by email to [email protected]. Usually this is a problem with Samsung energy saving settings and it effects Samsung's own S Planner the same way. Don't be cheap and pay for the full, adds free, business version of this app. This guys deserve it. The app its well thought, easy to browse and use, the interface its intuitive and syncs neatly with your contacts (which google calendar fails at doing). It will retrieve birthdays, anniversaries, and any other special dates saved on you contacts like a charm. Been using for over 5 years and counting, thank you Tapir apps you guys rock (:
I receive spam that I can't get rid of. Entries appear and repeat daily. When I delete "this and all future events". They continue. I've tried emailing unsubscribe, sometimes the address is incorrect and it comes back. Other times it is simply doesn't do any good. I'm uninstalling.

We never send you any emails/spam. As this is a free app you should see ads every few days, unless you bought the respective in app purchase. Contact us by email to [email protected] for technical support. I am blind and this app is great from what I have used of it and it works great with the screen reader. I would recommend this for any person that is blind. Thank you so much as I have had to rely on my memory or others for my appointments. Can hardly wait to discover what all this app can do in making me more independent , thank you .
Was brilliant and 5 star.. now ruined by intrusive ads. One of which appeared to be a system message to tell me that my memory was full. Will stick with it for now but if it keeps doing this will have to uninstall and revert to Google. Revision: Thanks for the advice. Had never heard of AdMob and never click links on anything I think is questionable but I will try that. Sorry, but the 2 stars relates to the app as it is working on my phone at the moment and which does contain these ads which have only appeared fairly recently. I would consider the plus ap in terms of functionality but dont want to be forced there by advertising.

We develop and support aCalendar since 2010. Please understand that a free app contains occasional ads. We introduced ads about 14 months ago, but at the same time added many of the (previously) paid features to be included for free and you can get single paid feature (and ad removal) now without buying the full version. The aCalendar is a fantastic calendar! Just what I was looking for. It has many very useful functions that are clear and easy to use. The style in which the notification function works is brilliant. The aCalendar is the best calendar that I've come across, and it would be hard to beat. Thank you guys for a Super app!
Not a great deal of difference between the paid for and free version but the app is so good that I bought it anyway. By far the best calendar app I have tried.
This was my review on 4/27/17 Not many color options for text. On 4/28 I recieved a response from the developer that this is because google calendar only has 12 colors. So whats the point of this app then? I'm better off just using the Google calendar.

If you like Google's own user interface better, sure there is no point in using our app. Usually people use our app because they like it better than the preinstalled calendar app or Google calendar app. Nice calendar, but I can't stop it from syncing with Google Calendar. I want it to sync with my cloud but not Google. Unfortunately, my calendars are all mixed up now.
I have a Pixel XL running Android Phone O beta. I'm using the widget and when I swipe over to the page with the aCalendar widget, I get just the top of the widget until I tap to open the calendar and leave it open for 3 seconds in order for the calendar widget to fully appear on the page. Can you update the app to fix please?
It used to be great, but now I get an ad after entering, editin or deleting any event. It's really annoying.

ACalendar is a free app and only shows ads once every few days. You can remove ads for just 99c or get aCalendar+ for all features and no ads. Please understand that continuous development and free support is not possible without monetization. Got angry for a few minutes since the app update. Played with it a little more... Faith restored.
Almost perfect app. Lacking one MAJOR function. Replace calendar notification with an alarm function. I would buy the Pro/Plus version for that!!!
Absolutely brilliant. I love to travel, and this app will convert timezones for me when I schedule interviews (which usually blows my brain to try to figure out myself)
At Last! I absolutely despised the calendar Android added to the last update, I was happy with the one they replaced. This one is exactly what I'm after so thank you 🤝

Requires permission to access my default calendar app in order to function, and then copies over all those events from my other calendar. If I wanted those events to show up in my calendar, then I would've just stuck with using my old Google calendar app. I'm looking for an app to make a separate calendar of events, and this unfortunately is not it.

This is how any proper calendar app works. Except for no data is ever copied and the data is stored in the Android calendar storage not your default calendar app. I don't see why you would want 2 different apps for the same thing and if you want to split business and private, you can do that with just aCalendar. Doesn't let me choose which calendar to show. If I chose some settings it's changing the stock settings. So it's just another way to show my calendar. Impossible to chose what calendar to view. Only the option what to sync. There are some calendars that let you choose

You can configure this in the action bar menu and in the calendar list. Calendar visibility and calendar sync are always global settings for your device. This is how Google designed the Android calendar system. Please do not rate us down for that. Why is there a problem with this? Best contact us by email to [email protected]. Please contact us by email to [email protected] for technical support, not with a 1 star rating for a problem outside our app. It works alright, but one of the task widgets that I normally like to use (3x2) isn't working anymore. Becoming really frustrating.

Have been using this calendar for years and really like it - however - today all my calendar entries have changed color and I have difficulty reading them - how do I change it back?

Are these events added to a Google calendar? There seems to be a problem in Google's synchronisation to Android under certain network conditions. aCalendar is NOT involved in storage or synchronisation of your Google (or actually any) calendar data. Please contact us by email for support instead of giving a bad rating. Absolute BEST calendar app to be used with Google calendar. I have used it for many years and every time I do I'm so happy with the experience. Very easy to use and stable. Should have added this review long ago!
After many years of different calendars, this is the best I've found. I like it and have used it now for quite some time
