An OBD II engine ECU diagnostics tool that uses a cheap bluetooth ELM / OBD adapter to connect to your car OBD2 engine management system

This is the free/basic version - it lets you get a feel for the application and lets you find out if it works with your vehicle / obd2 adapter combination; but may contain some small bugs including not working on some nissan/chrysler/subaru ECUs. The paid version has support for more vehicles and ECU types, looks a lot nicer, and works with more cars / trucks

The paid version has more features (HorsePower,Torque, 0-60 , quarter mile tests, graph data, map / track views) + no adverts and exra dial/display types! and better ABS / Knock sensor support, Transmission temperature support for some makes of car / trucks (GM / Ford, etc), and Turbo Boost on many more vehicles (including VW)

Works on vehicles made by Ford, GM/Vauxhall/Opel, Chrysler, Mercedes, Volkswagen, Audi, Jaguar, Citroen, Peugoet, Skoda, Kia, Mazda, Lexus, Daewoo, Renault, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Honda, Hyundai, BMW, Toyota, Seat, Dodge, Jeep, Pontiac, Subaru and many more vehicle makes, European, US, Far East, etc. Some vehicle ECUs may support more/less features than others.

**PLEASE NOTE!** Any reports of hanging or freezing after quitting the app is due to a bug in the HTC Evo 4G and Galaxy Tab, this can be triggered by using the Pandora/Vlingo/Aldiko bluetooth enabled apps. Disabling Pandoras new bluetooth settings fixes the problem, but HTC/Samsung need to release a fix. Please contact their support and encourage them to fix, Thanks!

The pro version supports USB ELM adapters which are use 'Prolific' or 'FTDI' chips

* Update: A freeze/hang workaround has been found after a great amount of effort and is available in the full version in the General Preferences settings!

Good at identifying and clearing fault codes Contacted the developer with a question about mpg on my diesel car and whether the Pro version would be accurate. The free version certainly isn't and by a long way. Would have been nice to have received a reply to help me decide whether to fork out for the paid version. I won't take the chance as I am not prepared to buy, run out the house and drive round for a few minutes, run back in and uninstall for a refund if it doesn't. Credit for developing the app. Poor show on customer service.

Does Boost Gauge works for Supercharger? Haven't tested it yet waiting for my obd Bluetooth but am wondering if the Boost Gauge can measure boost on my SuperCharger Mercedes E 55 AMG Supercharger w211? Or only for Turbo engines. That And AIT is what interest me most right now. Going pro right away if it can measure boost but can I test that with just the Lite Version before I buy Pro? I wish details Lite vs Pro was more clear

Too outdated Ui, works marginally First of all, this user interface is outdated for like 5 years. It's clearly made for Android 2.0 or something of the sort. It's badly usable and moving widgets is extremely inconvenient. Also regularly crashes on Android 6. The use itself is okay but doesn't display an awful lot about my Volkswagen

Flexible, comprehensive interface I compared a half dozen similar apps and this came out on top. Lots of choices for display type and location... you can easily customize for your.personal needs. I use mine to monitor my fuel consumption on every trip. Connects quickly, intuitive interface. It does everything I had hoped it would. And if it doesn't, I just reconfigure it.

Useful but clunky Lacks basic features like resizing dials/gauges and moving them to other tabs, requiring you to delete and recreate it as desired. Just means it takes a bit longer to set up as desired. Allows a reasonable number of logged items for a free version. I'll consider the pro version once I test it out further.

Mark.m Dowloaded app, connects with OBD reader. But unable to find correct protocol. Gives error message of check ignition and send de-bug report. Citroen Berlingo 2.0 hdi 06 plate. Wanted to purchase full app after testing free version. But does not work on my vehicle. Is there an update or any way to get it working???

Great app, minor improvement needed Connects easily to my ELM with instant data readout. However, since I got 3 cars and all of theme has a Bluetooth ELM, I hope we can have vehicle profiles orelse everytime I have to input the displacement, weight and rpm of each different car. The interface looks good but I hope you can implement a hold/vibrate/rearrange model instead of the current hold/submenu/ type. Keep up the great work, if the next update has these features, ill be sure to get the full version.

Perfect! Bought a cheap Bluetooth adapter through eBay. Torque took only a few seconds to gather data once paired and is unbelievably accurate. Installed the app as just finishing an engine replacement but has already proven it's worth in reading the faults of some other motors. Well worth it even if you're just curious. P.s. if the Bluetooth adapter doesn't show in the list of devices, make sure it's paired in android then force close torque. With it still paired, reopen torque and will there.

This app is nothing like the pictures or videos. So far it offers a lot of useless information and every car repair place tells me, "you must bring the car in so we can scan your codes." So the device and this app are useless.

It's okay but not all the dials/readings work. Would this be fixed with buying the pro version?? It works great on my 2008 focus bit some of the dials/readings won't measure I.e. MAF, fuel pressure and a couple others. Is it because it is restricted with it being the lite version?? Would purchasing the pro unlock these perameters?? If so I would purchase.

Incorrect data I used it again after some weeks and I realized som wrong data is collected. E.g. throttle does not react properly according to the real state and fuel data is missing at all. Despite of everything went OK before. What could be wrong? All the same - phone, app, dongle, car... 😞

Wont connect to adapter Bought the obd2 sensor on Amazon, tells me to download this app... App keeps trying to find sensor and no luck. Changed every setting and still nothing. Useless. I have a motorola droid turbo 2.

Great free version I was able to troubleshoot some engine issues I was having by downloading this app and logging engine data via a bluetooth OBDII module. I also have used it numerous times on a handful of different cars (VW, Volvo, Kia, Ford) to view/clear engine fault codes.

The end. Used to work brilliantly up until Tuesday, 15 December 2015. Since then I have uninstalled, reinstalled updated, etc. many times but I can NOT connect to my ODBII. I was on the verge of purchasing Torque but it has stopped working. Either that or my car's interface or phone have broken!

Doesn't work at all Wanted to test it out before buying pro version. The app connects to the Bluetooth dongle but is on an endless loop of searching for the protocol. Other engine apps work so this app is faulty unfortunately.

Not so happy When I purchased the OBD I was given torque pro download for free. Since my phone was reset I am no longer able to have Pro without purchase. Would be 5 stars if I had pro back.

Christmas tree When I start my engine and the app is connected to my obd sometimes it makes my hud flash like a Christmas tree.... All the faults appearing (abs, check engine, TCS,etc...) I must restart the car to make them off

It doesn't connect to my adapter automatically and i dont even know how to force it to connect. Competing apps connect automatically without configuration. So its a bit risky even purchasing the Pro app if the lite doesn't even work..

Not sure if bug or just unavailable feature in free version New to this app and trying to get a feel for how useful it will be. Config'd set of variables to log on a drive and want to email the logs when done, but every time I select 'email logs' and then the email app, the process crashes with the error message "Unfortunately, Android system has stopped." Pretty frustrating to not be able to get to my data. Is the another way to find and transfer the log file that works? This is on a Galaxy Note 3.

Only work for some vehicles It works okay with my JDM Mitsubishi Colt CTZ, but not working with my JDM Toyota Vitz. Did some research online and found that toyota is using M-OBD and the only android app supports M-OBD with ELM327 is hobdrive, which has far worse user interface compare to torque. Would be great if the torque developer can look at adding M-OBD support and would totally be a 5 star app.

Excellent Works great on my 2014 Hyundia using a cheap $20.00 ELM327 interface and Samsung note 4 via Bluetooth connection. I am very impressed how stable it runs. I tried several other apps with no sucess. I am definetly going to buy the pro version with a better interface.

Killer This is the killer app. It has literally everything you need. Very stable, intuitive, and fast. Some of the interfaces could be improved...for example it's a pain to move or add a display/widget (too many steps).

Very, very happy with the Lite version. Looking forward to getting Pro. Connects quickly and robustly via Bluetooth to my BAFX dongle. Most sensors work great! Unfortunately, my vehicles don't provide data for some gauges, but Torque Lite works great!

Plug in the dongle, start the app and it streams data in various ways (graph, dial, etc.). Seems to work decently that way. I like the detail that I can get from it. However, the Bluetooth signal seems to crap out after a few minutes. Everything is doing its thing and then locks up. One dial may come back and the others are frozen. Maybe to many dials are open? No idea. It retrieves and deletes set codes faster than my official OBD/CAN reader built for that purpose.

Great app I have used this app with multiple odbII devices that were all cheap ELM devices I bought on Amazon for around $10, and it has worked flawlessly with all of them. The only car model I had trouble with was Chrysler Sebring, but nothing would read them, not even at the parts stores... The only little issue o have is that the all displays display doesn't display standard, only metric...

Great for a free lite app I cannot get the lite version to read in degrees F instead of C regardless of how many times I check and uncheck the box in settings/units. Same thing with km/h and miles per hour .... Stuck on km/h .... Need deg F and mph

Good app intentionally ruined to force purchase? Logging flawed. Used this app with quite some satisfaction, as it allows logging of arbitrary CAN-parameters. With the recent update, the number of parameters was restricted and mailing make impossible.

So Much Potential Great little app but one major flaw; if anything else should appear on screen while you're using it in horizontal mode, each page becomes misaligned so you can't see the gauges properly, and to sort it you have to turn it vertically and then back to horizontal, then scroll through the pages. Almost impossible to do while driving.

Doesnt work This doesnt work with integra gsr 2001 i tried car gauge lite and it work so i you guys better make an upgrade on yours because you guys dont have all the cars in your system i am sure of that because not like the car gauge lite they have the options of what car do you have or all cars so if you guys have this upgrade thats good.i tried the bafxd scanner with this and its not working with my car hope you guys fix it soon. Is your pro working with integra gsr 2001? Or same thing with this not working app?

Worked first time Fitted a Bluetooth OBD sensor, installed this app and immediately viewed the fault code, hit web lookup and confirmed the most common EMU fault for this vehicle. It even told me which cylinder was misfiring. Fantastic.

Units not correct I'm interested in the Pro version, but not convinced that it is worth it. Although I have set the units to bar, it remains on psi... Boost constantly varies between in/Hg and bar.

Gauges seem to move places easily I've tried setting up a few gauges, but they seem to move around instead of staying on a snap-to grid. Makes working with it and setting it up, very difficult.

Seems like a well designed app, but the 'Email Logs' feature doesn't work (for me at least). I hit the button and it prompts me to pick the file type, then my email app (gmail in my case), at which point the app flashes a black screen and then takes me back to the main screen of the app. Lame. Also, it's pretty unclear as to how to send logs to the web app - not sure if that's a Pro only thing, but some documentation on that would be nice.

What's New

Look for the pro version, it has many more features than the lite!

* Fixed connection issues some people were having. The Adapter may take a moment to find the correct protocol the first time it connects to the ECU.

Enable 'Faster Communications' in the settings to really speed up sensor updates!

Some of the cheap OBD2 adapters can have problems talking to the vehicle ECU for some manufacturers vehicles - if in doubt, check the adapter is working properly as some cheap ones can be problematic
