Okay, first of all, this is a great app, it functions pretty well given what it's trying to accomplish, but I've noticed many things that could be improved. First off, the UI is not at all pretty. This could be easily fixed, but isn't as important as the next two. When I link to my Dropbox, it won't work. I don't know why. Also, why can I only save video to one place on my phone? I don't know if it even ended up recording because I can't view the folder it's trying to save in.

This is Awesome Used in conjunction with Ivideon, this is really nice. Can setup multiple cams anywhere you can access wifi atriums the house or via hotspot. It is a little lady, but that is to be expected considering the network being used and the method of viewing. My only gripe is that between this app and Ivideon, getting the correct orientation (landscape), I can only get a landscape mirror image and not a true Like/R landscape image. I might be missing something, will play w/ it some more. Great app & stream quality!

Sony Xperia Active. Android 4.04. My usage of the app: watch and record what is going on in the garden or in the house or in the basement (dog, rodents, cats and wildlife behavior). My setup: camera WiFi connected to the home network, video viewed and recorded from the web browser of the Windows 10 PC (either Firefox or Edge, could not make it work with Internet Explorer). The application works perfectly. I can remotely switch the camera light from the web application for night watch or recording. The application installs on the SDCard, which is important for me considering the tiny internal storage of the Sony Xperia Active. The adds are not obstructive. The web interface is simple, efficient and self-explanatory, and gives access to all necessary controls.Thanks and congratulations to the developer..

Loved it. Has all security features. There is just one thing that I suggest is write video files to a network folder on the same wifi network. However I loved the free streaming to Ivideon app though recording to cloud has to be borne at an extra cost. I would prefer to buy pro if recording to network drive or folder is programmed. Do not like to spend on Ivideon cloud.

Works ok on a local network, night mode is fairly poor. No auto switching between day and night mode (that I could find). Remote access possible with ivideon. The app force closes fairly regularly, despite being installed on a factory reset phone. The app developer does not respond to emails, or at lest not mine.

Love this app! i bought a cheap 30 android tablet and turned it into a full time security camera, but i do have one complaint, when using local streaming via the router it causes my internet connection to suffer at half speeds, not sure why. UPDATE!: This app just helped me catch a theif! i had setup my phone to be a security camera with this app and it was so useful! if it werent for this app i wouldnt have got my stuff back and had caught the person who did it!!! i am giving this a solid 5 stars, devs if you read this, i want to give you the biggest thanks of my life. i cant thank you enough!!!

Best free IP camera app out there! So far this is the best ip camera app I have used by a long shot. I will be updating to the pro version because this guy deserves some return other then ad money. With all the options in the settings I really feel that the person that made this app is kinda nerdy like me o_0. What I would really love is face rec. And really that may already be an option with addons avaible with the pro version.
Good alternative to a backup camera I tried a few different apps and so far this one seems to work best. I bought an older RV whose backup camera is not working. Until I have a permanent solution this app will be a good substitution using an old phone as a camera. Too bad there is a slight lag in the video. If the video did not have that delay it would be a 5 star app.
Excellent. The watermark on the videos is annoying, but I'll be getting Pro soon. Definitely worth it. Currently using this is a dirt-cheap method of automating a lab experiment. Point a $30 tablet at the experiment, start the app, and a simple Python script for fetching images periodically. Works like a charm!
Excellent App I use this app to monitor my dog while I'm not at home. It works very well on my old Nexus 5 that has a broken screen. This is my favorite app to repurpose an Android phone that would otherwise be in a desk drawer collecting dust.
For a free app it's great! Only Complaint is high CPU use occasionally. Now its just 3% but has been as high as 25%. No other apps running except ivideon and avast anti virus. Any ideas?
Only if Gotta say this app is everything u can ask for except for 1 tiny little thing.. if only we can chang the audio source cause the cam mic is way much better and the calls mic got some really terrible sensitivity. Other from that its 5 stars all the way.
My first attempt to use a Nexus 7 as a webcam and view it at Videon. On the Nexus Android device setup was easy. But heres the issue. I can use the rear camera just fine. But to use the front video, the quality is 'green, and pixilated' like a bad tv signal from the 60s. I got round this bychanging the default camera to the front camera in the app settings. If this doesnt work, try changing the resolution of the camera to 800x600 in the app, then once its looking okay, change it to a higher resolution. Hope this help if you have a the same issue. If anyone knows how to start recording, or record from the Ivideon website...I just cant find out how! Update - okay, recording not part of the free plan. Anyone know of a free site to record captures?
I like this app. It is very useful. I can turn my tablet into a security camera and have access to it via Ivideon. I am trying to use this on my other half's phone. How do I set up the video uploader for email. This is very confusing. I want to have the video sent to my email address. As well as pictures that are taken randomly, But I am not sure how I would set it up. Please explain or send me to a website or youtube video that can explain it for me. Thank you

Excellent! thx for letting me put my very old android to a very good use! Also, Please add brightness and contrast adjustments? So if the image is too dark, we can try to avoid using the led light, in case we have not a camera capable of nightvision (i guess)
Dude! Amazing feature set for a free app. Amazingly well documented with tutorial videos and such, and expandable capabilities with plugins. What a smart, concise, well executed app. If you're worried that a free app might be missing some feature or setting you're gong to need, forget it. IP Webcam has it all.
Superb app with little problm Is there any solution for overheating of cell phone if this app is continuesly in working condition for more then 10 hours.pls help me. After all a very good app for aur security.
Start app on phone, enjoy stream on notebook – it's that simple. Many configuration possibilities, yet the interface is tidy. Main drawback: Mkv encoding not perfect. Playback works on mplayer or google videoplayer (not at all on VLC). Jumping to an arbitrary position in the file leads to crashing the most players.
I am updating this review from a previous review that I had left that was incorrect. This is an excellent App and very well laid out. I am currently using this App on an old Galaxy S5 Active, and streaming to Blue Iris. The only real caveat I have, And this isn't the developers fault, Is not all pones seem to have the ability to use full resolution. For example, the S5 active is limited to 1080p. However if I go above about 1080p/15fps I start using more power than the charger is capable of keeping up with anyway. So even If I could force it to use say 4K, I would leave that way for long as I don't think phone hardware would keep up very long. Sadly, the phone camera at 1080p/15, provides batter picture than any of my actual "Cheap" cameras actually designed for security and the phone didn't cost me anything.
help okay so I got it cause I have been looking for a video recorder that will work for sound and record, though, I couldn't even get this to work. I might jUST not know how to use it so if someone could help me out?? if I can figure out how to use it I will rate it higher, thanks :)
I will give 4 or 5 stars when You tell me how can I play the recordings on my windows 10 player or if any player o need to download. The files are not supported by the player
Great app but it's frustrating that the app keeps getting back to foreground when you set it to background. I use it on it on my tablets that are wallmounted to control my home automation system and use them as security cameras at the same time. I want IP Webcam to run in background and the control-app always up front.

absolutely the best thing I've ever seen very useful__updated it's really good for an old android phone with 640×480 at 50% stream quality. I can't express how good this app is.

Crash on S Duo When I try to run application in background on Samsung SDuo it crashes and exit. Works fine on any other device.
Best by far Almost perfect. Would like to see separate settings for day and night. The ads in the free version are the worst Ive ever seen
Doesn't sense any motion I tested this for hours and couldn't get it to sense motion. Sensitivity settings aren't clear and can't find any advice online to resolve my issue. Probably best just to purchase a paid app and save yourself the trouble!

When I first installed it on my Nexus 4 (running 5.1.1), the app caused the phone to crash regularly - it was virtually unusable. I then did a full factory reset and reinstalled IP Camera...same result. Shame as it looks like a really interesting app. Will try again in future if crash bug is fixed.
Great app! It's very useful. I'm using my old smartphone as IP camera. Working OK in a generic tablet (Android 5.1) and a Motorola XT316 (Android 2.3.4). I have the app running for weeks without problems!
Why is the recorded framerate so slow? I dont care if the web preview framerate is slow but when I start recording it better be at 30fps. Any way to make it better?
Die beste App auf diesem Gebiet Da sie viele Funktionen bietet (Passwort Schutz, Ton Übertragung in beide Richtungen...) ist dies meiner Meinung nach die beste App auf dem Gebiet. Man aktiviert die App, gibt die IP Adresse in den Browser ein und fertig! Ist auch mit fast allen Geräten kompatibel. Man muss nur in einem WLAN Netzwerk bleiben. Habe damit viel Erfolg und kann ich allen empfehlen die Räume oder anderes wie z. B. den Weg zum Eingang des Hauses überwachen wollen.

This is a great app for using an old unused phone to watch over your property or record something remotely. You don't even need a service as you can just run it on your home wifi. Combine it with another service like Logmein that you install on a home pc running on the same network and you can now look at the view from anywhere. Outstanding!
Works well with a VPN. Looks good too, but a few issues to clear: 1. The sensor log's axes should be far more tuneable. I'd like to choose the max and min axis values. 2. MJPEG streaming? Wouldn't it be far more efficient to stream a different format? Possibly one which has inter-framing compression?
Very useful It worked great for two months, but stopped showing in ivideon client recently. I hope reinstalation will help.
Great app, but... Is there a way to remotely turn on/off the motion detection? Like arming and disarming.
