Good retro collection, better with Bluetooth controller If you grew up with these games, it's nice to get to play them again on this platform. Nice innovations with the control options, but my favored approach is using the Wiimote Controller app and playing with my wii remote. Much more precision than touch screen for me. Only real negative is that the sound effects inexplicably drop out sometimes on games like h.e.r.o. and keystone kapers.

Please fix in app purchasing One game is free. The rest taunt you with purchasing that cannot happen. Why advertise what is not for sale. I have their Atari collection. I would like to buy the Activision set as well. If this is fixed, I'm sure I can rate it higher. Update - 5 months later, still no change. I suppose they have abandoned the app.

"ATTENTION RIVER RAIDER's!!! " Totally Awesome! Pay the money $6.99 and get the whole collection. Trust me you won't be sorry. Some of the greatest games of my childhood are in it such as "ENDURO", "PITFALL", "ROBOT TANK", "CHOPPER COMMAND", "RIVER RAID" and many many more. A must have for any gamers out there from the 80's. You will absolutely love it! I cannot recommend it more! Get it! Play it! Love it! Enjoy... ;) - Mac Attack

In app purchases doesn't work, so none of the games are playable other than Kaboom. Would love to give you money, but I guess I'll have to find another way to play these games. The touch controls for Kaboom are well implemented though, so I'm even more disappointed not to be able to play my other favourites such as Hockey, Hero and Pitfall.

Fix your error and stop ignoring the complaints If you want a better rating, fix your purchasing bug! Can't buy any of the games. It takes you back to the previous screen when attempting to buy a game. I'm gonna have to hook up my Atari 2600 and play the old games for the time being but it would be nice to be able to play it portable.

I want to love it. I wasn't put off by paying for all these classic games, which I did, they bring me immense joy.... except, half of the games will dim and lock my screen. I adjusted my screen time out, yet still while playing (barnstorming, this time) using the tilt at 15 second intervals I have to continually make contact with the touch screen to keep it from locking during my game, it's quite frustrating, and hard to enjoy playing the games with the time out. It would be really nice if this glitch could get some attention

Love\Hate this app I love the free Ka-boom. Works great and brings back the good old days of home console video games. I hate the fact that I am unable to purchase any of the other games to relive my childhood. Fix the purchasing option and I am sure my review goes up to 5 stars. What? You don't want my money?
Can we buy games 50 cents to a buck each? Can we buy games indevidually . I So want to buy pitfall but only problem is I have to buy 10 more games like that. I'll buy the whole pack when I have more money but Still. Make it a buck a game like atari did. I bought the entire atari games for 10 bucks which was worth it. But still make this game Better by charging PER GAME.
Lame Cheapskates really 1 game if thats all your gonna give you should atleast make me pay before i download it , or make it free oh right its not like you guys are a billion dollar company that cant make just 1 app completely free
Too Bad. In a game that requires precision, one cannot have controls that lag. Deserves one star but I gave it an extra one because of the childhood memories from 30 years ago it evoked within me. I will keep it just in case the problem is fixed.
In app purchasing does NOT work Amazing that so many reviewers have commented that the in app purchasing does NOT work, yet there is not even one response from anyone at Activision. Why bother to put a broken app on the market, especially when most have commented that we would be happy to pay for it? Silly Activision people; you discredit yourselves.
Frequent crashes, unable to purchase Looks like it could be great, however I am seeing frequent crashes (unfortunately, Anthology has stopped). I am unable to purchase game packs; I get kicked back to the main game selection screen with no ability to purchase. Nexus 6p.
I would rather... ...have ads then pay for this deceitfully marketed data drainer. I would give you no stars, and then I would take a star, and then I would take one more, so that by the time I was done with you, you would actually be negative 2 stars. Activision? More like Craptivision. Sucka'
I am not old enough to remember when these first came out, but these are some of the best video games. These games are totally worth the money. Unfortunately, the app crashes when trying to view the game manuals on my Galaxy J3 on Lollipop, which is sad because the instruction manuals really help a lot here.
WARNING. DO NOT DOWNLOAD. Activision will not reimburse your money for any app purchess that f+#kup. And belive me it will just after you have spent good money on upgrades. they still owe me money from call of duty heroes. I have emailed over and over but they ignore them all. They do not care once they have got your money you mean s#it to them youre just another cash cow to them. Do yourself a huge favour and download any other game. Except from activision. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. ACTIVISION CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS TO HELL.
Be smart. Stay Away. What is the point of buying this game? I wont even try opening it. I get this for free on my copy of call of duty black ops II with a nuketown easter egg. There is NO point in downloading this or buying anything in it. Be smart and stay away.
Really want to buy all the games. Too bad it won't let me. Activision made the best games of the Atari 2600 era, and many of them are still a blast today. It's a shame that the app will not actually let you buy any of them. Considering I can easily download an Atari 2600 emulator without hassle, I figured the developers would be more worried about keeping this thing working.
Kaboom! Awesome The buckets even have that little shake to them like I remember when I was just a boy! It really brings me back to a time when my only worry was that mum might make me do my homework before I could go out and play.
Wow. I got this because I actually have this on my PlaystationOne. This app is horrible though because out of like 40 gamez 1 is free. Just sad. Dont waste your time.
Good but.. Missing obvious control improvements... For finger control you should have an option to alter the display so you won't, say, be covering up the barrels in kaboom or the ship in demon attack. Speaking of demon attack and other two direction games there should be an option to move left or right by touching the left or right side of the screen, especially if rapid fire is on...
Can't Get Working Tried to purchase in-app... Google it was paid, nothing downloaded and I got another email from Google saying it was refunded. Very weird. Fail.
Cannot make in-app purchases The game does not function properly. None of the games can be unlocked. This makes Kaboom! the only playable title in the collection. Very disappointing.
41mb of crap. It comes with one game and you have to buy all the rest. Really like Pit Fall, but I'm not gonna buy it. (Nexus 4)
Great Working well. $2.99 for 11 games or $6.99 for all 45. Very fair pricing. All the games are exactly like on Atri 2600. Controls are fine, considering the original Atari controllers had their own issues, it's exactly like old times. Been (correction) 30 years simce I played some of these, yet I was able to pick up playing my favorites like it was yesterday.
Can't purchase It's weird, you would think a company would want to help you give them money, but Activision doesn't. I even emailed their support and just get a message back to look at FAQS on their website, which has nothing there. I even factory reset my phone and same thing, select purchase and it goes back to the main screen. The one game I can play is great. Wish I could buy the rest.
Blast from the past Activision had the best games when it game to the Atari 2600. Most of my teenage years was playing Enduro and Pitfall II, Hero, etc. Added a third console and games in the early nineties and all this got given to the Salvation Army. Gameplay controls is very difficult on these smartphones, but my SE Play works a hundred percent better than the options. All games for eight bucks is a bargain. A cartridge used to cost five times more back in the day. BLAST FROM THE PAST
Forced to buy all or none Sorry, but I'm not remotely interested in buying an entire collection of games when I'm only interested in one or two titles. Terrible marketing strategy here. Uninstalling.
Shame .. it could have been great. So many little things wrong with this (sound issues with Meglomania, for example) ... How about controller support? Take a pass on this one for now.
Cant buy?? Something is wrong with the purchase part of this app. My buddy sitting here was able to download and buy entire collection with no problem on the iPad, but for some reason it does not work with android?
Looked pretty awesome but... it only lets you try one game, Kaboom. You slide a bucket back and forth to catch falling bombs, very basic even for an Atari game. Anyway it has 45 total games and only trying out one of them which I've never heard of was not enough of a demo for me to decide if I wanted to buy the rest for 6.99. 1 demo out of 45 total games is a little ridiculous. Demo 5. Sell 40 @ 6.99. Have 4 packages of 10 for 2.99 ea. 5 demos would really have gotten me hooked to try the rest. Oh well. On to the next adventure!
Good if you want to spend some money! I bought all the games for this app, and I now spend all my time playing pitfall and hockey! I have really had no issues with crashes or lags...it all works perfectly. Great app!
Terrible The only free game is kaboom, and the controls for it are terrible, and all of the box art for every game is wrong. Activision isn't truly Activision, it's just the same name that someone legally owns after many companies before them. I can name my dog Barack Obama but that doesn't make him the president of the United States.
:( Stinks you can only do one game...you should at least let us do pitfall. Or at least 5 games do it and I will rate 5 stars
Activision Only gives one free game. That's fine. But it won't let you buy any other games. Like Pitfall. Just waste of time installing it. Uninstalling right know!!!
S2_ICS Works well. Bought the full package, not sure if it was really worth the money or if I got caught out with an impulse buy. A lot of games though. All work well and the controls are responsive and as good as a touchscreen can be. Well done app, bit overpriced.
would be great if I could buy I have a note 4.. I can play Kaboom..but in app purchases don't work. I would buy the whole collection but when O hit buy it just takes me back to the main menu. I gave it two stars because I can at least play Kaboom.
Pretty much a worthless demo Activision's just trying to sell ancient games. Not the greediest money grab I've seen -- EA's dual pay-to-play and pay-to-avoid-grinding, as featured in the mobile version of Plants vs. Zombies, takes the prize for that -- but it still isn't worth the time it takes to download it.
Can't buy full game Try to buy the full game, but an attempt to purchase just takes you back to the main screen. Attempts at contacting support just lead to an automated response to review the self help site.
Awesome Love it, I remember paying $35.00 a cartridge, this is a bargain. People who complain that this is not free need to understand companies exist because they need to make money to exist. Ignore those 1 stars because they expect it to be free. For all those complainers, you spend the many hours designing an app then let see if you want to give it away for free when this is how you make a living, grow up people.
Broken Keeps shutting down and won't allow in app purchases. I really wanted to play space shuttle too.
