I invite you to join me now in this short Metta Prayer
Radiating the energy of peace and love out to all living beings
Take a few deep breaths to clear your mind
And focus on the here and now
This present moment
Now
Breathe in
Filling your being with peace and love
As you begin each line, breathe out slowly
Breathing these thoughts into the world
Reading, thinking, and feeling the words with peace and love
Sending them from your heart
Giving the energy to yourself and to all living beings
Breathe in and repeat the process for each line

In it's overzealous campaign
To prohibit people of seeing human beings naked
It is my conclusion
that a great number of Americans
must be suffering from a dis'ease'
Something is really f'd up in the American culture
To bring about such attacks and prohibitions
Against the Natural Human Body

I know how we got here -
A culture dominated by a misguided view
Of religious teachings created by men
who sought to control others

I hope we can find the cure

Personally, I think more nakedness is needed
The more naked the world gets
The less "threatening" naked will be
When something becomes
A normal, everyday occurrence
Then we stop thinking about it
It just is
And I hope one day
The vast majority of people will wake up
And learn to shuck off their cultural shackles
Stop believing the lies
of those who wish to control them
And learn to live free
By their own leave

One can hope.

AOM Meditations: Love Yourself 121218

“No one woke up one morning out of the blue and just outright, fully loved themselves. It takes active effort. It takes active presence. You must learn to be more self-aware. You need to find things to be grateful for about yourself. You need to practice that love.

Start small, but do it every day. Write it down if it helps. Keep growing the list of self-appreciation and love. Learn to look into the mirror and love the person looking back at you. Find that self-acceptance. Accept yourself not in perfection, but in love. Love the fallible and frail human you are. Develop self-love.

If you want to have a successful and happy life you need to learn to become your own friend. You must foster and nurture the relationship you have with yourself. Out of all the people in your life, the one you will be with the longest is yourself. I can't stress enough how important it is to learn to love yourself. Practice it every day.”

“You are one thing only.
You are a Divine Being. An all-powerful Creator.
You are a Deity in jeans and a t-shirt,
and within you dwells
the infinite wisdom of the ages
and the sacred creative force of
All that is,
will be and ever was.”

MUSIC: "Gabriel's Oboe" by Ennio Morricone

Tenderly Soothing

When I listen to this music
I feel as though I am Naked
Communing with Nature

Second only to the French horn,
The oboe is my next favorite instrument.
Odd for me since I was a trumpet player
The trumpet was a sexy choice I guess, when I was young,
But as I've gotten older
I have developed an immense appreciation
For the French horn and the Oboe

This performance of this beautiful music is exceptional
Enjoy the magical virtuoso performance
By oboist, Carlo Romano
