FREEBIE. Challenge students to figure out how many hexagons they can make using pattern blocks. Includes full color + black & white answer-key mats as well as a blank mat filled with the hexagon shape that they can place pieces on.
You'll need: 3 Designer Papers, Hex Pattern & CCs. Using the Hexagon template & red blade, cut hexagon shape. From each of other two papers, cut 3 strips that measure 3.75" x 7.5". Fold a flap in measuring 1" on each strip. Adhere strips (alternating) to hexagon by attaching flap to backside using Tape Runner. Add photos and (optionally) a quote from coordinating Slide-In Pack.
