You can now get anonymous online screening, one screening for more than 30 different NYC assistance programs. Then you can apply online for the programs you are eligible. Home page/screening https://a069-access.nyc.gov/ACCESSNYC/application.do Click on the big blue box in the top left out for location click the black text "find office locations" remember that food stamps is now called Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program

You can also call 311 and ask for a Yiddish speaker who can help you with basically anything if the city has a program for it.
