You can now place a Donate Now button on your Page and ads that lets people donate to your organization through a website of your choice. If donations are a significant part of your organization’s funding, you may choose to place the Donate Now call to action (CTA) button on your Page to encourage visitors to contribute. How do I Get Started with Fundraising Tools?
How do I add a donate button to my page?
Keep in mind your Page’s category must be set to “Non-Profit Organization” in order to view the Donate Now button. Change your Page’s category.- Go to your Page’s cover photo and click Create Call to Action
- Choose Donate Now and then enter the URL of the site where people can donate, like your website’s fundraising page.
- Click Create.
How do I add a donate button to an ad?
You can add a Donate Now button to ads with one of 3 advertising objectives: Website Clicks, Website Conversions or App Installs.- Create an ad in Ads Manager with one of these objectives: “Send people to your website,” “Increase conversions on your website” or “Get installs of your app.”
- When choosing your ad creative you’ll be given the option to add a call-to-action button. Choose Donate Now from the dropdown list and place your order.
How do I collect donations directly on Facebook?
We’ve recently started testing new donation products to help nonprofits collect contributions directly on Facebook, rather than sending donors to another website. We’re currently testing these products with a small group of partners, but you can let us know if you’re interested, and we’ll let you know when they’re ready to be rolled out to additional nonprofits. These products include:Donate button. The Donate button is a quick way for people to donate to your organization directly. You’ll be able to add the button to your Page and posts, making it easy for supporters to contribute through a one-page form on Facebook.
Fundraisers. A fundraiser is a dedicated place to raise funds from your Page for a specific campaign. You’ll be able to get the word out, rally supporters and collect donations directly on Facebook. You can also show progress toward your goals for things like year-end drives, disaster relief and themed campaigns.
