Welcome to the Easy Summer Styling Blog Tour with Kelly from The Tattered Pew. I am so happy you are here!

Hi there. I have had my blog for almost four months and have never really introduced myself. You all know that I live in a one hundred-year-old home and I am having the time of my life converting it into farmhouse decor. But this picture represents what I am most proud of. This is my wonderful husband Dave and my three sons, Andrew, Matt and Michael. They are my world. Here’s a glimpse into five aspects of my life that you may not know!
Fifteen years ago I made this advent calendar. I liked it so much that I made five more to give to each member of my family. This is one of the most treasured Christmas decorations I own as it represents so many holiday memories of our family!

CONGRATS TO @SARAHKATEHOOD! Thanks to everyone who entered!

It’s been a while since I have been Rae Dunn hunting. So last week I made a few visits to Home Goods and TJ Maxx and I got lucky. I only bought a few items and left plenty on the shelves. Is it just me or does it seem that the inventory on the shelves is more plentiful? I have also noticed the after market prices are going down and that makes me very happy.
As you know I love to shop at Flea Markets. Since I live in Southern California I have learned the most unique and best-priced items are usually found at a large Flea Markets. Fortunately we have a lot of them near where I live!

I have a new companion in the craft room!

I haven’t given her a name yet but she is my size and height. I have been looking for her for a very long time but dress forms are so expensive! I saw a gorgeous vintage dress form at the Rose Bowl Flea Market last weekend that I really wanted to buy. Until the vendor quoted me a price … $800. Seriously?
A few months ago I was asked if I wanted to participate in a Summer Home Blog Tour. There are so many bloggers that I admire participating in the tour and I can’t believe they asked me to join them. Needless to say, I am very excited and just so you know, the tour goes live on July 24th.

One of my favorite ways to spend a weekend morning is at an antique flea market. I have shared my thoughts about how to shop at flea markets in a previous post. I try to go to as many as I can because but I think all flea markets are great. You just need to know what to look for!
