Just now, at exactly 20:17 UTC, July 20, 1969, Apollo 11 touched upon the lunar surface and made history. 39 minutes later Neil Armstrong became the first human to walk on the Moon. The success of Apollo 11 meant that humanity would never look at the Moon in the same way again.
