I agree, was mainly a joke. Should’ve asked what people expect the German government to ask of the rest of the euro zone when its hit by a cyclical downturn.

A much more relevant Dutch concept is that of komkommertijd (cucumber time), when news outlets run ridiculous pieces because there’s not enough real news to report.

In the 90s in Germany, correlation between output growth of industry and services was close to 0. No recession in 1995/96 (Mexican crisis) or 1998/99 (Asian crisis) despite deep industrial downturn.

Las een paar dagen terug een artikeltje over hoe ze wel premier wil worden, inclusief zoveel stereotype geleuter over rekeningrijden etc dat ik drie uur lang hoofdpijn heb gehad van de overdosis VVD.
