Well, the solar won’t be enough for the “day”. What will substitute/supplement it pre 9AM and post 3PM ? Batteries? Gas? Diesel? How dirty, expensive, or complicated, is that ?

You’re right. Its the Cleanest. By far. Specially when you compute for CF using Gas as backup. Wind & Solar go up to ~390grams CO2/KWh Nuclear goes up to ~50 grams CO2/KWh

Solar 15%CF -> Gas 85% of the time Wind 35%CF -> Gas 65% if the time And CF is not the complete picture When these things go to zero, the gas backup is inadequate to make up 100% Thats when SC Gas kicks in Super expensive STBY From the horse’ mouth 👇

Had succeeded in Arizona, emissions & electricity prices would have spiked and Steyer likely would have made millions selling nat gas & solar panels

But even a Spanish link would be fine to get started.

Apparently its an ancient Spanish ceramic (porous) thing (water jug). Used to cool drinking water. Now seems to be they applied the principles to cooling power plants.

Nuclear plants can be made to not need water to cool

Billionaire Tom Steyer made his fortune financing coal plants As a nat gas/renewables investor, he spent $18M in 2018 trying to kill US’s largest source of clean energy, Palo Verde nuclear, and replace it with gas & solar He’s now running for president — as a climate activist

Russian news emphasizes "global catastrophes" with nuclear. Russians are largest exporters of nuclear power plants. They know stories like this make it harder for nuclear vendors in democracy to compete with Russia.

< 200 is the estimated ultimate number. But from 1986 until today, it is < 50. “Today” is 2019. 33 years after.

As long as climate warners believe renewables can do it, they don't seem to be good at assessing facts, and as long as the oppose nuclear, they donˋt seem to be good at identifying solutions. With these two flaws, I wonder how competent they are at assessing climate facts.

Exactly!!!! If they don't want to completely trash their credibility off the bat, they should discard "renewables." If they fail in the easier subject (energy) how on Earth are we going to trust their judgment on the more complex subject (climate)?

The construction rates of the 70s, 80s, and then some, could meet that challenge.
