Again: The Senate flips on Bill C-48, softens on C-69. It looks like Alberta’s starting to win. Column

The NDP want to shut down Alberta and Canada’s energy sector. How detached from our economic reality can you get?

Our job creation tax cut will provide the jolt to our economy that Alberta needs. With an estimated 55,000 jobs to be created from this issue, this will get Alberta back to work.

The is the largest women’s shelter in western Canada, and they do great work in supporting vulnerable women and children. Alberta’s government will be there to support those who need a hand up in our communities.

The trend of companies and capital leaving Alberta energy for other areas of the world has been all too obvious. We are committed to bringing that investment back to Alberta where it belongs.

Bracing message from a top business leader: "When your company born here in Alberta has to go outside this country to find opportunity, it is a heartbreaking shame. I hope we’re now pointed in the right direction... & our leaders are starting to listen.”

Thank-you to for all the work you've done to fight the 'Tanker Ban' Bill C-48. But the work is not done. We need to keep up the pressure so the Senate adopts the committee report and kills Bill C-48 for good!

The power policy fiasco is a huge NDP scandal. Their incompetence cost Albertans at least $1.8 billion. We will ask the Auditor General to report on how this happened.

Albertans chose to vote in an ambitious agenda to get our province back to work and stand up for our interests. Next week we’ll be getting down to business, with up to 12 bills set to be passed by the end of this spring session alone. It’s the spring of renewal!

Very encouraging to see such strong support for our job-creation tax cut from small businesses. 90% of those benefitting from this tax cut are small and medium-sized job creators who are ready to bet on Alberta and get our province back to work.

Foreign-funded campaigns have tried to landlock Alberta and Canadian energy, while doing nothing to stop the growth of U.S. energy. We’re done with watching this happen. Alberta’s fight-back strategy will put our province’s interests first.

Alberta’s economy needs a defibrillator, and bringing in the lowest tax rate on job creators is a good start. Leading economists expect this tax cut to create 55,000 jobs. That’s putting Alberta back to work.

I completely agree with . Bill C-48 must be killed in committee. It cannot be fixed or amended in any way that mitigates the threat to Alberta, our economy and ability to reach new markets for oil. It undermines national unity and the ability to attract investment.

Great column by outlining the complete absurdity of the proposed tanker ban. Its time to ban the tanker ban!
