Pulwama attack: 45 lives lost and as many families destroyed. Targetted violence against thousands of Kashmiris. Communal polarisation. A near-war situation between India and Pak. Possible electoral gains for RW forces in India. Who lost and who gained?

War is not sexy. I was embedded with ISAF forces in Paktika province in Afghanistan researching insurgency in the Afghan-Pakistan border. So all you assholes reporting with combat fatigues, you have no clue what the fuck you are going on about. Please shut up.

Imran Khan doesn't need a war, Pakistan doesn't want a war, and it's smart enough to know it can't win a war against India. Modi would benefit from a war. Hindu nationalists want a war with Pakistan, and India's media is capitalizing on that by beating the drums of war.

Can we all just calm down. An escalation does not help either country. To begin with, stop watching TV and seeing twitter on both sides. We will all be saner

What kind of a callous/blase country are we? We r a nuclear nation on the brink of a war with another nuclear country. And there r no safety drills for citizens, no information on bunkers, no preparations. Instead, people r distributing sweets in offices & streets.

This is an imp thread. I’ve been reading security analysts for a day. Everyone’s dished out their two bits but you can grasp the hollowness of those because none of them mention what this thread does—one of the most imp aspects of security in the 21st cent—Counter Intelligence
