Just caught up with comments from @federalreserve Chairman Powell at his @FSCDems Hearing, and I fully agree that legitimate concerns about @Libra_ should be addressed carefully and patiently, and that it shouldn't be rushed. This is why we shared plans early.

I believe you're conflating two different things here: 1) financially supporting the build-up of the Libra Association initially, and 2) investing in the ecosystem like any other member. #2 has not happened yet.

I named it Libra. And I promise you Gemini didn't even cross my mind for a nanosecond. Libra was a unit of weight measure that served to mint coins, it's the symbol of justice, and in French (libre) means freedom. I believe these are good enough reasons...
