A quick survey of the info coming in (mainly from Khartoum) on my TL shows the Janjaweed militia (RSF) are everywhere. They’re acting like they have the city under siege - stopping and searching citizens, robbing them, shooting at them. This is madness.

Mobile internet & majority of internet providers are still down in Sudan. Roads are closed and people are terrified to go out on the streets, which are overrun with Janjaweed. A small minority of people have gone to Eid prayers, in defiance of TMC announcing Eid on Wednesday.

Today is the 30th anniversary of the - an event that Beijing would have us forget about. Amy Lai reminds us why Canadians need to remember the massacre and how it reflects on the character of the PRC regime.

Last week, it was reported that the New York Times banned reporters from Rachel Maddow’s show for being 'too partisan.’ Today, David Brooks was a guest on RT. Russian propaganda, but not ?

Russian state news is extremely pissed, a video game is more outspoken on ’s war crimes and heroic deeds in than most western governments. So they repeat all the lies we heard from them over the past 4 years. Or in other worlds:

Yes.Suspension of talks with FDRC, elections in 9 months most likely include parties aligned with previous regime, too short period to dismantle the institutions of the former regime, and offers congrats to RSF/Police while claiming to bring perpetrators of violence "accountable"

Joining 10:15pm to reflect on sad news coming out of Sudan all day. It keeps getting ominous & the military is showing its resolve to clear sit ins, but at great cost to human lives. They have a genocidal background so understandably few have faith in its objectives.

Since we are back to the Bashir era with the same tactics, call for "early elections," resumption of so-called "national dialogue," and promises of cosmetic reform. Let us look at the ICG report pre-TMC coup. Old Wine in a new Burhan-Bottle
