This op-ed all day: "Faced with the unceasing cruelty of the Trump presidency, liberals have not taken to marching around in public with weapons and threatening civil war. They're using their cultural power because it’s the only power they have left."

Hitler propagandist Leni Riefenstahl denied service at Hollywood nightclubs and studios in 1938. Leaves fuming, her feelings hurt.

If you’re a reporter or producer covering civility instead of the fact that these children still don’t know where their parents are .... do better. We all know this is a charade. Trump does not care about civility. Cover the real issues.

Can somebody give me a hand? I am looking for statements from Rudy Giuliani, Newt Gingrich or Mike Huckabee condemning Trump for calling neo-Nazi and racist violent demonstrators at Charlottesville “very fine people”. For some reason, I can’t seem to find them

Gosh, I guess those faux-socialists who called it blackmail to argue that Clinton would appoint better justices sure showed us! The courts, they don’t matter, and both parties are exactly the same.

Has Paul Ryan said a word about Steve King retweeting a Neo Nazi or insisting he doesn’t want Somali Muslims to package pork in his district???

Trump’s government stops criminally prosecuting some immigrants. Good, right? Nope. No prosecution = no right to a lawyer. No lawyer = no one to help you get your children back.

The stolen Supreme Court has now made it absolutely clear: America has abandoned its pretense of egalitarianism. This is a nation of legalized bigotry and violence, and will remain so, Trump or no Trump.

"Freedom is never voluntarily given by the oppressor; it must be demanded by the oppressed. Frankly, I have yet to engage in a direct action campaign that was 'well timed' in the view of those who have not suffered." - Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Letter from a Birmingham Jail

I too always had a rule: if a person is dirty on the inside, they shouldn’t still be the f*cking President.

If somebody helped rip your child out of your arms and kept that child locked away from you for weeks & months... Would you serve them a hamburger? No? Ok what if it was your neighbor's child locked away? Still no? Trying to find the line here where children stop mattering...

Caging children is child abuse. Forcibly splitting children from their parents is child abuse. This should not be a left/right issue. This is humane versus inhumane, right versus wrong.

Three years ago I read an article in and called a producer friend, screaming, “We have to make this as a TV show!” Now, finally, it’s going into production.

I've noticed an interesting patten that after particularly egregious moments of moral transgression by the Trump administration (Charlottesville, family-separation) there's a brief, but intense media focus on why mobilization *against* these transgressions has Gone Too Far.

The government had no intention of reuniting separated families and has no plan to do so now:

Civility is very important as the government is admittedly building child internment camps.
