Perhaps the more interesting comparison is with the first poll after the 2016 candidates had been selected, which showed them neck and neck (That was much closer to the election though)

Well Crossrail has just been delayed by at least a year and Khan’s been under constant fire over crime and his numbers have actually gone up so not convinced that will make much of a difference

Some prominent London Tories say they don’t think Bailey will still be the Conservative candidate by the time of the election, but on these numbers, who else would want the job?

For comparison the 2016 result was 44% Khan to 35% Goldsmith. Bailey doing significantly worse than his predecessor so far.

Every day, I am more and more struck how unrepresentative and flakey Britain's political class/state apparatus has become and how incapable it is at dealing with change, or a challenge (such as Brexit). It seems so weak and looks so irrelevant

has become a mess. A vote delayed. Mrs May returning to Brussels. My two messages: we'll never let down Ireland; it’s out of the question to renegotiate the backstop & if you are looking for a closer future relationship to avoid the backstop, this will be no problem w/ us

Downing Street saying meaningful vote will be held before the 21 January. "We will be keeping to the spirt of the act and a vote will be brought before January 21." There will be another 2 days of debate before then and then the vote.

Good question. Given the government has already been found in contempt of parliament, I suspect not!

This could mean the bar for ousting the PM is much lower than many had assumed.
