Also UCT will not be “forced to boycott Israeli academics” it would be democratically electing to boycott Israeli academics and institutions contributing to the occupation of Palestine.

As per this terrible logic, the boycotts that were fundamental in contributing to the end of South African Apartheid would have never happened. Human rights violations committed by other states do not justify inaction against the atrocities being committed against Palestinians.

فروردین ۱۶ but surely
I will never understand this logic. Then start a movement on campus. Idgi. It's like either you do EVERYTHING or you do nothing. This rationale doesn't even extinguish Israel's bad human rights records. It's saying "but everyone else is doing it too 😭😭😭"

Question: "UCT's campus has seen a Zionist campaign seeking to rebrand Zionism with slogans such as 'I am a Zionist and a feminist/LGBT activist/supporter of human rights. How do you respond to this?"
