We're saddened that our ardent supporter and friend has resigned. He is a man of principle, who has given a huge amount of support to to commemorate the genocide while championing community engagement to tackle hatred and bigotry. He will be missed.

The remains were then carried by family members onto lorries that are currently transporting them to Hambarine, Prijedor where prayers will be held this evening and the start of the Dženaza (burial) ceremony will take place tomorrow morning.

Flowers were lowered from Mostar’s Old Bridge on Tuesday night in celebration of the 15th anniversary of the bridge’s reconstruction, which was blown up by Bosnian Croat forces during the Bosnian War.

Remembering Hatidža a year after her death. She said all her life’s wealth was in the ground where her sons were buried. She loved the flowers in her garden, the pine trees that her son Almir had planted before the war, the path where he had once written his name in concrete

Prijedor 20 July 2019: Commemoration and collective burial of the Bosniak civilians killed in pogroms by the Serb militias in the summer of 1992. 86 were buried today. (More than 3100 were killed in this Bosnian municipality in 1992. Some 600 still remain missing.)

Tomorrow is the annual mass burial in Prijedor where over 3,000 people were killed. After 27 years, 86 people will finally be honourably buried. Of which 68 are from Kozarac, my parents hometown. Included in the list of names are a number of my own family members

From another point of view I personally disagree that this is the responsibility of Dutch only, they were there as forces therefore responsibility is of ALL UN MEMBERS! UN MUST learn otherwise what is the point of UN? The world needs UN but not in current state

have received some sort of [comfort], it’s not big, but at least there is some responsibility, even if only 10%. I would like to thank the all the Mothers of Srebrenica who led this fight and succeeded at least a little to help everybody in Bosnia”.
