Really sad to hear of the death of former Brent Councillor Pat Harrison.Pat was a truly lovely person and an incredibly hard working councillor. Here's a couple of photos of Pat in happier times at visits to... facebook.com/richard.cotton…

Totally agree about PLO flags - sickening (would prefer Union Flag) - but really don't get liberals' hostility to the Durham Miners' Gala.

Why are you so hostile to the Durham Miners' Gala? It promotes community, belonging and a sense of history. Attlee, Wilson etc always went to it.

I have now been waiting 21 minutes for a 274 bus. It's the only route connecting @onthehillinfo with the Camden Town end of my ward. Yes, I know I should simply walk home on a summer evening but many of my constituents can't do that @TfL

Labour's vote in 1951 was the highest share of the electorate ever recorded for a single political party.

An alumnus of @PrimroseHillRW is about to become PM. Would have preferred @Ed_Miliband or even his brother. O tempora! O mores!

Actually there is a significant minority of Labour voters (not members or MPs) who are EU sceptic and ditto for a bigger group of former Labour voters but my tweet was about tolerating minority opinions not about Corbyn.

Good to see that the liberating armies are coming from the EU and are no doubt commanded by such paragons of liberalism as Viktor Orban and Sebastian Kurz.

Attlee, Gaitskell, Barbara Castle, Bryan Gould @AVMitchell2010 Tony Benn & many others were opposed to the EEC/EU & EU-scepticism was the majority @UKLabour view until 1989. @PaulEmbery speaks for a significant minority of @UKLabour voters & should not be persecuted for that. twitter.com/GloriaDePiero/…

According to the referendum polling only 35% of BAME voters voted to Leave and a smaller number are Tories so I don't think that is the reason.

I am so proud of my city because it is so diverse - a third of my fellow Londoners are people of colour, many with roots in Commonwealth countries. Where were they on this march? (Look at the pictures). It was like going back in time!
