I am a single guy in relatively good health. 37 years old. The cheapest healthcare plan available to me is 487 a month. With a 5,000 deductible and ridiculous co-pays. Its almost pointless. No it IS pointless for me to have health insurance.

Eddy, you're not listening. Medicare/Medicaid doesn't look at each individual, they look at what the most typical care would be. For example, I worked with a gal who had paraplegia, no arms and no legs, and they wanted her to use a traditional wheelchair.
It needs reforming.
