I’m not interested in “credibility” with people who so wilfully overlook the huge amounts the club has spent - or facts in general. Single big fees aren’t the only way to distort the market.

City have distorted the market. They haven't done it alone, though. Other clubs have also distorted the market. Of course I wouldn't withdraw a fact.

This is just you being disingenuous and bad-faith again. No one is saying accuracy isn’t important! It is accurate to say, however, that Mansour being the nominal owner is irrelevant to the issue of it being@a state vehicle.

What has gone wrong with Neymar?
The question really revolves around what the entire structure around him is, which tells a lot about the modern football superstar

with neither of those have you pointed out any inaccuracies in my work. As has been repeatedly pointed out to you, the dance over the owner is a joke, and an irrelevance.

It is bad faith because it’s reaching and twisting for anything - from someone who really should know better - to defend a viewpoint. And the point about the red tops is similarly bad faith. Maybe step outside the City fan bubble a bit, Ally.

This is what we’re dealing with. And this - despite what Ally professes - is the very definition of bad faith.

At least four of them tagged here - and I’m not talking about you, Mark, Howard or Ahsan - are outright trolls, who will always act in bad faith on this, to be fair.

Because the low-scoring nature of football still allows quirks of fate. Immense resources are gradually eroding this, though. Two of those involved freakish situations - one was Liverpool’s frankly unsustainable challenge. The second was Pep’s odd neurosis about the CL.

By the exact same token, how could you do this job and *not* occasionally focus and the very thorny issue of the owners’ use of the club. Which brings us full circle - fundamentally, fans don’t like coverage that isn’t positive!

That’s nonsense because they’ve mostly completely avoided coverage like this, and coverage like this pales next to the deep level of integration of their interests this has allowed. It’s worked spectacularly

Yeah, I never wrote any of those pieces, though. My view is that City’s resources are so vast that - combined with that wealth allowing the appointment of the best manager in the game - this level of domination was inevitable.

It’s “perceived” that way because people refuse to actually read what you have written before, and make entire judgements off one piece they dislike. There’s no legislating for such blinkered ignorance.
