I was rewatching the film "Wall Street," which I'd not seen in decades. Its opening credits are filled with views of the Twin Towers. For years post-9/11, the sight of them on screen made me gasp. That didn't happen this time. Time indeed diminishes shock.

I agree. If we’ve learned nothing in recent years it’s that we’ve learned nothing.

Trump thinks homelessness started two years ago. Eric thinks Obama was president in 2008. Don Jr. thinks Kamala Harris can't be black because her father's Jamaican. Ivanka thinks she belongs at the G20 summit. Melania thinks she's the most bullied person in the world.

Iran plays at the edges of violating its end of the nuke deal, and Trump warns it’s “playing with fire.” By what measure of fairness is it OK for the Trump administration to scrap the deal while insisting that Iran adhere to it?

How about we leave it at: We disagree. Thank you for the generous words about my writing.

Worse, it’s wrong. Independence Day is supposed to be a celebration of core American values, none of which are represented by a tank.

From the Editorial Board: Trump now plans to cordon off an area for the Fourth of July in front of the Lincoln Memorial reserved just for dignitaries, family and friends. Nothing about reserved seating says “We the people.”

Not to belabor this, but the original tweet asked if anyone had seen a fact-checking article anywhere. I think this was an instance of imprecise writing, not a case of my misunderstanding.

Great song, though an awful lot of other numbers would qualify in that category.

Whatever the lyrics, that song has a fantastic melody. Here are George Harrison and Eric Clapton playing it in concert:
